No, it's just that you're incorrect in your usage of the terms in this context. In the draft context, when you move from 19 to anything with a lower number, it's trading up in the draft because the top pick overall is at the top of the draft board thus when you move from a lower number to a higher number, you are trading up and when you move from a higher number to a lower number, you're trading down.

Interested in learning more about Boughner because of the rumors that are swirling. From what I gather he runs your D and PK to mixed reviews?

He got a lot of credit last year for Burns' increased defensive awareness and just general defensive improvements but a lot of our team took a step back this year so hard to evaluate what's good/bad. Odds are that he does run the PK but our PK is this weird thing 1-2-1 thing that I call a 5on3+1 because it looks like how a team would play a 5on3, with the 3 man triangle, but with an extra forward pressuring the puck carrier.

He'd probably be good but if that's his PK and he keeps on using it, then that'd be bad.

It's an assumption he runs the PK then? I get it, because he's a former defensemen, you'd think he'd have all the defensive responsibilities. But there are exceptions to that like Phil Housley in Nashville who is in charge of defense and Powerplay. So who knows

Good thing we're primed to lose our AC who is actually good at his job, I can't wait for Spott to be back next year with increased responsibility
