I get that CBC Leaf games are to a much broader audience than just Toronto, so they're not going to be a bunch of Joe Bowens screaming Holy Mackinaw.
However, it does seem like they're extra careful not to praise the Leafs when they actually do well, because of the fear of sounding like they have a bias. Some of them, at times, will be extra critical (GH, anyone?) to ensure this. Maybe they also do it to balance out Don Cherry, who generally doesn't care what he says and will show his bias towards the Leafs often. But the approach, IMO, goes beyond an attempt to be neutral and objective, and ruins the experience, especially with Healy and his nauseating nonsense.
I miss the days of Bob Cole and Harry Neale in their prime.
