Never fear Stars fans Jordie Benn is on the ice in the final minute to ensure the puck stays in the zone.
Smith needs to go down. It's as much about Fraser deserving a chance as it is trying not to kill Smith's development. He has been rushed and it's not doing him any favors.
Poor Robidas. I don't care for his play but that has to hurt. Hope he's okay in a few weeks.
Jagr is the man and I feel privileged for getting to watch him wear my team's sweater. That said if he can bring back a good piece of the puzzle I wish him the best in the playoffs and please god trade him.
Mcleod is a ******. Hitting Roy from behind makes you uber tough.
Nystrom's trying to buy himself a ticket out of town. I hope someone wants him because that kind of drive and determination can only help a playoff team.
Nope. He could definitely take the team to the playoffs, but not necessarily make a deep run or win the cup.

Anyways who the hell cares? I'm tired of living in the past about this coach or this draft pick every loss. Just need to look to the future for once and not waste our talent/assets.
Can't talk about the future before taking a good look at our past and fixing what went wrong*
Tippett was a good coach, but his time here was up. He definitely isn't the guy that's going to be showing emotion for sure.
His time here may have run its course but it's amusing that we went from being too good for Tippett to missing the playoffs every season since his dismissal. All the while his new team, which is in a worse spot than the Stars were financially, have made the playoffs three straight years and have a Conference Finals appearance under their belt.

Indeed.
It's funny hearing the excuses a lot of Stars fans have used, when Phoenix has been in just as bad of a position, if not worse, and still has won the Division.
Gully mad at the team for helping expedite his trip to the Unemployment line.
He also pointed out shift length as another thing that got more lax after going up 3-2...
You actually linked to the Jagr interview, but i'm glad you did.
I still hope they can find a way out of their funk and make playoffs.
He seems genuinely, emotionally invested in the successes of the team, and while it doesn't seem likely he will return next season, I would certainly like to see it.
Of course, that might would mean Gully/Joe's job security would increase, but I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too.
And the fact that Fowler and Gromley still aren't anything special, and Campbell is slowly turning into what people expected him to be. Not to mention outside of the 1st round in 09 and 10 they did a hell of a job ... especially 09.
They did get tremendous value from the later rounds in the draft, but to me they clearly missed the home run opportunities in the 1st round that were presented.
Im not 100% sure on stats but id bet that since being drafted fowler has more points than any stars defender in that span. Sorry but I think fowler will be a fantastic defensman for years to come

Yeah I'm with catters here. You don't get a pass on the two obvious misses because you hit later on. That's what got Bernhardt fired because he kept screwing up the obvious easy pick and while Les Jackson and company have been doing well later in the draft you have to get premium talent when it falls in your lap. That's another reason to hope Dallas has like the 5th or 6th pick so they can't screw it up too much.
Didnt this entire board want Tippett fired? Im sorry but missing a couple draft picks isnt why this team is horrible. Our D is pathetic (we need solid DEFENSIVE dmen) and the entire coaching staff needs to go. Same old problems same old results.
The organization has a huge problem developing defenseman, until they fix that the defense is going to remain the same or barely even improve. Even if they went out and traded for Myers, I'm not sure the organization could fix him, or if they acquired Bogosian, they'd probably remain status quo or get worse every season. This problem needs to be fixed.

At least some solid Defensive defensman are on the way, that is one minor thing i look forward to, seeing oleksiak and nemeth become NHL regulars from next year for years to come, in addition to Dillon.
My worry is that you need a number 1 guy who can do it all, play well defensively as well as be a great play maker, a point scorer on the power play, one with a great break out pass to spread the ice and one with an accurate slap shot/one timer to consistently get goalies having to make good saves through traffic.
We dont have anyone like that in our line up or in our system
I see Alex Pietrangelo in St louis and OEL in Phoenix and get massive envy.
You know your team is impotent from an offensive defenseman stand point when they send 5 forwards out on some power plays.
