World Floorball Championship

World Floorball Championship is going on right now in Switzerland, I certainly can't be the only one interested?

Streams for every game can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/user/iffchannel

The interesting games haven't started yet...

And, to be honest, floorball isn't really that much fun to watch from TV. Great sport to play, but I'd rather watch hockey 9 times out of 10.

I can't see the stream. Is each goal worth 2 or 3 points?

Nope

Expected us to win with slightly more against Norway but Rasmus Enström, our best scorer, among others didn't play so I'll take it.

I watched the Canada slaughter a little bit...I heard Swedes are the strong favourites this time and Finland can't match them? btw is Rickie Hyvärinen still playing?

2010 Final at Helsinki was epic.

Yeah, that's right. Finland should still be able to put up a good match if we we're to meet later on however.

Rickie Hyvärinen is not in the national team but he's still playing in Superligan for Caperio/Täby.

One of the best sports in the world to play, but the "world championship" is pretty stupid when 2 countries in the world play it.

More like 4, the Czechs and Swiss aren't too bad. But overall the situation is a bit similar to women's hockey were Canada and USA are so far ahead of the rest. At least in floorball there aren't financial and other obstacles for the lower ranked countries, they can improve with time.

And that will happen; I think in 20-30 years, Floorball could (or should) be as competitive as Hockey has been since the late 90's onward; the gaps will only become smaller, it happened in hockey too.

At least that's what I'm hoping.

Finland beat Switzerland in OT 4-3 in the semifinal. Good coaching definitely helped the Swiss, their coach Petteri Nykky lead Finland to two world championship gold medals.

Sweden's choice to go with youth, speed and skill seems to pay off over more strength and routine.

Pretty embarrassing... maybe would've been better if the Swiss would've made it to the finals instead of us.

Would have been better if we still had Petteri Nykky as coach. Fears about the current one have proven to be correct.

Finland aren't nearly as good as they used to be right now but I'm still suprised that we won that easy.

Now lets just hope every country keeps progressing so that we can have more exciting tournaments in the future, it's certainly looking brighter on that front

100% agree, but great coach like Nykky is one reason why the Swiss would've deserved to make the finals instead of our old and badly coached fellas.
