I still think Spezza's is Game 5 of the 2003 Eastern Finals against New Jersey.
In his rookie year he was scratched most of the playoffs for Vermette because Jacques Martin is Jacques Martin, he finally gets into game 5 with us down 3-1 in the series. Promptly has a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win. 1st star.
One of my biggest memories of those pre-lockout teams was that game, and Spezza skating out as 1st star to EMF's You're Unbelievable.
****ing epic.
Cherry nearly **** a brick - wish that video was around
Whats the deal with redden? Is he playing anywhere this year? Is he locked out? If he is that really sucks for him.
Redden can't play because he has a NHL deal so he would be taking a 6.5 million dollar gamble to play in the AHL this year. if and when a deal gets signed, he will be back playing in the AHL.

Not to derail, but I can't help but wonder if he'll be back in the NHL once his deal expires after 2013-14. Not sure if he has it in him, but I'm rooting for the guy.

We should sign him. I think his leaving the NHL had more to do with being over payed than not good enough. And even if he isn't good enough to play a 6/7th defenceman role for us, we can play him 6 games so he can hit 1000 and retire a Senator.

I actually like that idea. Probably stupid of me, but i like it.
