I'm mixed on this one.

- On one hand, deep down I feel like he has more to contribute both in the room and on the ice.

- On the other hand, he was absolutely useless down the stretch last season and I think it would be nice to give our young blood the C.


If he comes back, I'm sure it will be with the Avs. Let him have the C for one more year, then Landeskog will take it over.

It would be a travesty if he plays for another team. It scares but it's not impossible for the avs to not want to pay extra $$$ and they let him walk. IMO he still can be a solid player for the avs, just last year ALfredsson looked like he was done and this year he bounced back big time. I can see Hejduk doing the same but he should not be the captain if he does return, it just overwhelms him and I think that was a big part of him sucking.

Ideally Jaymac would be the captain until one of the young guys step up.
