That would be Bettman's dream.

The awesomeness of a WCF dance off would reverberate through history.

Facebook would shut down Instagram calling it "worthless" and replace it with just the dance off thread.

Agreed, Pacific was not good in the regular season. I'll say that getting Havlat back has changed the Sharks dramatically, and if LA plays Vancouver tough people will say they finally "woke up" after slumbering through 82 games.

I am not really sure what thread you're reading... But this one seems like there is a lot of, "Cool, but I only think San Jose (Phoenix) will make it out, and maybe Phoenix (San Jose)" And a lot of "It could happen, but isn't likely."

So yeah, HF Board logic: See a question posed, pretend like it was a statement and say something asinine.

I think so too. And it is the only way for the Sharks to get home ice.

Pacific was obviously the toughest division because the Sharks were 1-5 against Anaheim.

The Pacific was not a tough division during most of the season, but the closeness of the race at the end pushed Phoenix, San Jose and LA to really up their games, so they're perhaps the toughest in the conference at this very moment. That's also helped by St. Louis and Detroit entering the playoffs awfully cold in their last dozen games, thus weakening the division that was the conference's best through the vast majority of the season.

Of course, if the Sharks and Kings make the WCF, though, we could safely say that home ice no longer really matters. Afterall, that would mean that the two teams, combined, just played four series without home ice advantage and won all four of them.

not to surprising that the pacific teams have some early jump seeing as they've been playing playoff hockey for the last month.

i really think that out of that division phoenix has the real shot at making a run of it, not to say that san jose or la might not win a series or two. I really like the additions of torres in the summer and vermette at the deadline for them not to mention the play of mike smith all year.

I had only Phoenix advancing, but now with Toews in and Vrbata out, i think none of them make it past the first round.
