Korpikoski is currently dominating FEL, amazing player. He does everything perfect. I think he's gonna be top-6 player for Coyotes whenever the next NHL season starts.
Korpi is a stud and has all the tools but I'm not sure if he'll ever fully realize it in the NHL but regardless he's already an extremely important part of the Yotes success so I'm happy with him even if he doesn't get better. That said, I'd love for him to realize his potential, he's already one of those guys who can get you excited when he's on the ice because he's one of the few Yotes who can make something happen all by himself.

It amazes me how good he actually is.

I think he's already a top 6 player. Especially the 2010-2011 version.
.5 ppg or near it, great defense and pker. Sounds a little like Martin Hanzal on the wing, who everyone considers a top 6 player.

Korpi and Boedker are so responsible defensively that they sometimes forget they are the only two forwards on the team with gamebreaking ability. I love it when they get a little selfish and go hard at the net. Who knows? Maybe being top dogs overseas will translate into confidence back in the NHL.
Korpi for Lisin is one of my favorite GMDM moves, though I hated it at the time.

That's kind of what I'm pulling for, I hate to use the word but they could both use a little more swagger. Before the lockout I was hoping the 2 OT winning goals by Boeds would have a similar effect.

Yup. This might turn out well. Korppari is getting 20-25 minutes playing time per game and he's go to guy with Mikko Koivu. He's been more impressive than Mikko Koivu.

I've always thought Korpi should be playing with Hanzal. They would be a great defensive duo.
I just realized that if the season is lost then Mike Smith is a UFA. It seems like he wants to stay in Phoenix, but you never know, someone could offer to overpay, like Philly did for Bryz.
^ I'm actually worried about overpaying Smith ourselves. If we have to give him three or four years at three or four million dollars based on one single very good season, I would be extremely nervous. Hopefully he will accept a larger dollar amount in exchange for a shorter term. Two years, eight million. Something like that. Insurance in case he is a flash in the pan.

I think we can rest assured that whichever result would work out worst for the Coyotes is exactly what will happen.
