As one who's led the xenophobia charge repeatedly of late, I should point out that I not only don't mind input from other teams' fans, I actually welcome it and enjoy it... so long as they're respectful of our team. And by that, I mean that either they've done the research on our situation and can thus offer useful info... or if they haven't, but know what they don't know and so don't cross that line.

It's not the outside nature - that's actually desirable. It's the presumption associated with "This is what your needs are" despite obviously having never looked in any great detail. That underlying sense of "y'all just need to be educated, and here I am to help educate you, you n00bs should appreciate my generosity" is still extremely insulting, and I recognize that many times that's just an indictment of their own narrow-mindedness in general rather than against Columbus in particular, but right now I just don't have the strength or patience left to take the time to distinguish the two, or deal with it in a less hostile manner.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!

Yes Dineen haters, he was a Blue Jacket!!! A darn good one too!
Don't think it's Dineen hate as much as a reaction to the obsessive/compulsive devotion of he that shall not be named.

Leaf fan with some interest in your team here. Last time Iw as here I got cussed out over offering the 5th overall + Colborne thing.

But anyways. Mulling it over I honestly think CBJ is poised to be on the playoffs. The biggest thing I'd say they took away from this is an identity. Howson has a lot of big bodied players with Foligno, Dubinsky and 6'4 Artem Anisimov coming.

CBJ has effectively solved their defensive issues I think, one of the biggest problems a team can have, and it's a very young very skilled group. Outside of a top RW and a #1 center Columbus has a very defensively responsible/grindy squad imo.

I don't know what the roster would look like so I'll spitball and just yell at me if its wrong I guess but wouldn't it look like:

Umberger - RyJo - Atkinson?
Foligno - Anisimov - Brassard
Dubinsky - Prospal - Dorsett?
Boll - Gillies - Letestu

Tyutin - Johnson
Murray - Wiesnewski
Nikitin - Moore
Aucoin

Bobrovsky
Mason

On paper it looks like a squad that won't put up with a lot of ****, has a lot of talent in the back end and cna move the puck effectively/screen goal with ease. I dont know much about CBJ's RW though Anyway I think the times are changing for Jackets fans. The Red Wings and Hawks look weaker then previous years and the Blue Jackets have a group with depth imo and they seem to want to be there and win. Best of luck, I like your team more then the Leafs haha.
