River Monsters

River Monsters is coming!

Fishing Season starts on Sunday for me. Look out Trouts.

Animal Planet will have River Monsters on all day Sunday and the first episode of Season 4 - 2 hr's (American Killers). It will be airing at 9EST I think, and then again 2 hours later.

So all is well and I will be able to maybe catch a trout on Sunday, watch River Monsters, watch Game of Thrones, then watch River Monsters again...

Now that is a good damn day.

Thank you God!

Show is great......and terrifying. One of my favorites.

When you hear about the stories and then think about what's lurking below the surface. Made me realize how deadly friggin' catfish are now.

Such a terrific show...

I want to be Jeremy Wade. He has the best job in the world.

Reading a bit online it makes it seem as though he will be catching something crazy in an American urban centre.

This show creeps me out every time I watch it, but it's really good.

Love River Monsters. Excited to see some new episodes. Trout season can't start soon enough. Did some striper fishing yesterday, good stuff

Pretty good show, but some episodes they hype up the fish so much and then it's somewhat of a letdown.

I like it, but I think they've ran out of scary fish to catch

So last night was the season premier.

I enjoyed the florida segment. Nice Goliath Grouper he got, and he was surprised by the jumping tarpon. Thats some fun fishing

As the show went on though i wasnt as impressed. The Alligator Gar was interesting but it kind of fell flat when he couldnt catch a huge one.

The Catfish segment was dumb IMO. Took up way too much time, especially the "noodling" segment. There's already two shows on other networks about that kind of fishing and IMO they make it pretty laughable, so when Jeremy Wade tried to put a serious spin on it, it looked dumb. I'm not saying he shouldn't have spent some time on it, but it didn't call for being the big ending to the show.

I'd have like to have seen him try to catch a Sturgeon. Even a pike, those have a nice set of chompers on them.

No question about it. There are still some out there, but inevitably the meaning of "monster" in the show name is going to have to shift from "killer fish" to just plain humongous fish.

Really like the show too. I thought last night's show was pretty good. I'm always amazed at Wade's gear he has. Insane stuff.

So I missed the show yesterday...

Animal Planet Canada is not showing it. I'm guessing Discovery Channel but nothing is scheduled there for the next few weeks (River Monsters-wise anyway).

Went fishing Sunday, struck out and fell-in the drink to boot. Completely filled up one of my boots and was cold as hell. I have a long way to go!

Anybody got any news on the Canadian broadcasting?
