Seeing as how Karlsson is useless in his own zone, I couldn't possibly subject him to the fans of other teams.
I mean, there's war, and then there's war crimes.
Parachuting Karlsson into another team's lineup is the equivalent of a nerve gas attack on their disciplined defensive schemes.
I couldn't in all good conscience condone something like that.
Meanwhile, some joker threw Chris Kreider into the trade proposal.
I can only assume that there is some other Chris Kreider toiling in the minors, and not the NYR Chris Kreider who can be reasonably expected to put up 90-100 goals over the next 160 games or so.
I can hear you laughing now.
Obviously, 90-100 goals is ridiculously misleading.
This is due to the fact that the Rangers are a defensive team.
I shudder to imagine his production on a team like the Pens.
My statistically valid estimate would put his production on the Pens at around 80-100 goals per 82 game season.
7 points in the playoffs and a WJC winning goal are not enough for Hall sorry. If it was Hall for Karlsson straight up, the Oil would do it no question.

Karlsson is a great offensive D, but it looks like J.Shultz could be one as well. The Oilers wouldn't make the trade because of J.Schultz.
Hall is the Oilers future captain, its going to take a massive over-payment.

Why would Edmonton trade their only good left winger for an offensive d-man?
How do the oilers trade Hall and somehoe end up with 0 defensemen coming back...considering the the amount of big named D in the trade. I didnt realize the oilers needed more forwards to fight for more spots that are not available

Then why have many Oilers' fans been complaining about needed another top 6 center?

Which of the pieces the Oilers acquire are top 6 centers in the NHL? Neither of the two player you have them acquiring are top 6 players at the AHL level right now let alone doing it in the NHL.
Two prospects are not going to get you Taylor Hall, especially the two you suggested. I can't think of a pair of prospects in the league that a team could offer that the Oilers would accept for Taylor Hall right now.
Wow, this thread is so full of funny and fail! I was laughing at nearly every post in it.
On a serious note, Karlsson is not leaving Ottawa anytime soon. At least some Ranger fans in here realize the value he has. How many 21 year olds do you know that have been a 2-time all-star (1-time starter) and a Norris trophy winner, in say, the last 50 years? Not many (to put it lightly).
If i was an oilers fan i wouldn't trade Hall for that. Now someone said that montreal couldn't get Hall for price, subban and galyenchuk. Now thats funny. The oilers wouldn't get price straight up for Hall.
