god damn i feel bad for Nystrom. I think he deserves to be in the NHL. bah, who knows...he seems to have a great attitude about it.

It's a far cry from the days where we held on to guys like Fall Down Darby and took so long to waive them to send them to the minors isn't it?

We begged for a few years to send his lameass down and they wouldn't until he had only a half yr left on his deal... Nystrom, none of us even saw it coming!

Glad to see running the team the right way is priority 1, instead of letting salary dictate decisions.

According to Nystrom, he will be back soon with the Wild. By soon, he means in less than a month.

Can't wait to see that.

The bolded part is kind of a relieve for me. I was a little worried when I looked at the roster on the AHL site and saw Endras listed as a Defenceman.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Medvec loaned to the ECHL, he's not going to get work on that D IMO. Wild are carrying 8 right now as well. I see Lofquist didn't make it.

Should be interesting to see how Torchetti utilizes his forwards. Nystrom-Peters-Ortmeyer would be a pretty damn good shut-down line for AHL standards. Almond's not there yet and it already looks crowded for the likes of Broda, Foucault, and Fontaine, though Rau ending up as this year's Daoust wouldn't shock me.

Without POS there to put up his AHL dominating #'s it looks to me like Casey will have to be the man to step up and be the go-to goal scorer.
