I'm starting to think Palmieri doesn't amount to much. Quick start with the Wild and then nothing. Same with the Devils, didn't have the work ethic or production to stay up, got demoted.

Oh well, we got a 2nd, although it went from early 2nd to mid and if Washington goes deep it will be late.

It's important to have a good supporting cast for your prospects in the AHL, build the culture of team play and winning and so forth. Peters and Ortmeyer work in this more appropriate role, and guys like Broda and Pamieri, who the Wild took pains to acquire, may play that role in the future.

Think of it as building an organization, not just a team.
