If you've seen him play the puck, you'd get nervous too. Its not pretty.

Dennis Endras comes on loan to HIFK, Finnish Elite League, for the remainder of this season.

Also, they signed Bob McKenzie's son.

Glad to see the great play continue from the Aeros!

we poach a good chunk of their players and yet they find ways to win, too. #originalchurchofyeo

If Backstrom re-tweaks whatever he hurt by Thursday, what will Houston do if we have to call up Kuemper too?

Hopefully they'll do the logical thing and get Mike Greenlay out of the booth and back on the ice.

With all the injuries we're getting close to a point where we should just merge this with the MN wild 2011-2012 thread, since the teams will be one in the same.

2 options:

1) Recall a guy from the ECHL.

2) Sign a goalie to a 2-way contract. (AHL/ECHL)

EDIT: Looks like the 2nd option might be possible. Don't think it will happen since Backstrom should be back tomorrow.

Aeros hang on for a 1-0 shutout of the Rampage. Darcy Kuemper was huge - 33 saves for his first AHL shutout.

Guys, how is the "little man" Genoway doing? I see that his points are not bad, +/- is ok, but how is his impact?

The reason I ask is because he has been a 30-40 minute per game player at every level in the last 5 years, playing both PP and PK. How does he look in the AHL?

Aeros win tonight 4-1.
With how many players we've stolen from them, John Torchetti looks like he's doing a heck of a job down there (not taking anything away from Hack/Kuemper).

You gotta think he'll get an NHL shot sooner rather than later.

Matt Kassian with some offensive points recently. Would love to see him get some scoring confidence and then get called back up along with Bagnall when we play the Casucks

It's 5-1 'Amerks over the Aeros through 2 periods. Hackett has been replaced by Darcy Kuemper to start the 3rd period.

Sweet, the one I picked as my favorite ended up being the winner

Could you imagine if they tried something like that here in St. Paul this time of year? You know there are women up here who don't shave their legs the entire winter!

So I just glanced at the Aeros standings and have to ask, why are they so bad at shootouts? Learning from the parent club or something? I see they are 0-7 in the shootout so far this season. Do they just not have the goal scoring, or is Bob Mason secretly bad at coaching goalies for the "skills competition?"
