Looks like it was just an ATO for the injuries, AHL teams use them alot. He has been doing really well in Ontario, he might get another chance somewhere else later on. I'll talk to my buddy, see if i can get some insights into the Monarchs behind closed doors anyways.

For those of you with an iPhone somebody made a really nice Monarchs app. It's called iMonarchs and keeps up to minute scores and has all the player info and current stats also keeps schedules and highlights of games and articles on the game. Very nice graphics as well. It's 99 cents. Definitely worth checking out

How in the hell did King become the narchs leading scorer with 17 pts?

A pleasant surprise, I must say. Keep it up DK!

I still would like to see more fights out of you though.

Another good win by the Monarchs last night. Even with 6 guys injured, including Meckler, who per the pregame info. last night, will be out for 5+ months and Clune who will be out until atleast Feb., the team is finding a way to win these games. Kind of puzzling about Moreau - practiced a few times with the team and now all of a sudden needs tests for something, Morris seemed quite surprised about that.

Keep up the good work boys

From what was said by Ken Cail and Mark Morris in the pregame interview last night - Meckler got to the Chicago area and found out he has an aneurism in his hand (from what I was told last night, that is pretty serious) and Cluner is having or has had abdominal surgery.

Do you or somebody else know how badly Jordan Nolan is hurt? He hasn't played since December 11 vs Portland.

Ken Cail just indicated that Nolan skated today but there is no date set for his return. Nolan talked to a friend of mine a few games ago and indicated he had concussion symptoms.

Berube

I didn't see anywhere I could post ECHL info, but I had a chance to catch the Ontario Reign play the Las Vegas Wranglers in Sin City on Monday night.

I was interested to see Kings goaltending prospect JF Berube play. Unfortunately, the Wranglers lit him up for 5 goals. His numbers aren't great this year, either, with a GAA of over 4 and an .858 save precentage. If I am not mistaken, he is a first year pro, but from what I saw, he doesn't seem to be much of a prospect. He didn't get a lot of help from his defense, but he seemed to play deep in his crease and was not very aggressive in goal. He's only 20, so there is time to improve, but he is clearly a cut below guys like Zatkoff and Jones. He was signed to a three year deal by LA before the season, so it will be interesting to see how he improves.

Former King prospect Ned Lukacevic played for the Wranglers and had a point or two, but three players really stood out for Las Vegas. Speedy Eric Lampe scored two goals to give him 24 goals in 28 games, Judd Blackwater leads their team in scoring and had a multiple point game, and Adam Miller played a nice game as well.

Recent Monarch Chris Cloud played a very feisty game, starting a scrum by sucker punching one of the Wranglers. He then challenged their bench when he skated off after getting a 10 minute misconduct. I was surprised that nobody dropped the gloves in the third period after all of the jawing that was going on at the time.

Just thought you guys might enjoy a little feedback from down on the farm.

What's up with that? I heard he reported. I would think he would be able to do some damage down there, and he gets paid handsomely to do it... Was hoping when he reported that he would give a boost to the Monarchs' offense.

The only thing I can think of would be the idea that if it isn't broke, don't fix it. I mean the Monarchs are still in first and have won I think 4 out of 6 since Moreau was sent down. Might be a case of Morris thinking that the team is playing well enough without him. I also remember reading somewhere speculation that he had a nagging injury that he was letting heal for a week or two.

Moreau practiced a couple of times before the Christmas break then he was having tests done there was no info as to where he actually went to have them done. That info came from pregame interview with Mark Morris the day after xmas I think. Sounded as though Morris was surprised about the turn of events. I haven't heard another word about Moreau, wonder if this is an excuse not to play in Manchester or if it's a lingering injury.

Zatkoff and yes, surprisingly, Thomas Hickey, are both headed to the All-Star game.

After LaBarbera, I will try my best to control my glee / anticipation for the next stud goalie to come out of Manchester.
