Doan hit that so hard the puck isn't frozen anymore.

O'Sullivan? I get why we wanted Chipchura and Bissonnette out there, due to physicality, but Chipchura was a liability on the 2 PP goals (given it is only one game).

Whitney-Langkow-Doan
Korpikoski-Hanzal-Vrbata
Torres-O'Sullivan-Boedker
Pyatt-Nokelainen/Chipchura-Gordon

Our top 4 PKers would be Nokelainen/Chipchura-Gordon and the Korpi-Hanzal combo...

Yes we do. Absolutely. And neither Miele, McLean nor Tikhonov were able to make that AHL team.

Think about it.

Yes, and that was off of a broken cycle. The minute prior to that, as soon as Whitney tried to take it behind the net, the Sharks jumped him in the trapezoid, and the puck was cleared each time...

My only negative observation about Smith is that he has given up some very juicy rebounds...

Do you honestly think we are better off now and in the future for keeping the guys we kept over each of those three?

You might want to think about that one yourself.

Maclean is on an NHL team now, not sure if you heard, they actually don't mind offensive players. I have never supported Tik, never will, so not sure what you mean there.

We need an offensively gifted center, Miele is an offensively gifted center... but yeah you're right, good call to send him down so we can move a wing to center, a fourth liner to to third line and fit in chip. Great point zz, I'm enlightened.

How does a defensive team have a dreadful PK? We were great in 09-10...

It will have to be BUX. We have no other options outside of Miele. Sully being a vet will likely get the call first. We simply need to inject offense and skill into this team. I know zz, excellentguesser, devils advocate, and a few others disagree but I'm not sure why.

Ok. Now it's just funny.

Poor Boeds is the last of the Mohicans. I'm thinking he's going to be the whipping boy starting game one.

Cause we had defensemen and forwards who were willing to lay their body down and block shots (see Michalek, Zbynek; Fiddler, Vernon; Nokelainen, Peteri; Winnik, Daniel). It forces that extra pass that needs to be made. Does Pavelski get a chance at the deflection if someone lays out? Probably not. Sharks would be forced to regroup and move the puck around.
