Really excited to see the HE tournament on there. I wish they would show the Beanpot, too.
NESN has too much invested in that tourney to give it up - thats their baby.
Also the games are played on two straight mondays - thats the main NHL
night on Versus/NBC Sports where they have exclusive rights to show games
especially in the early time slot - no way they give it up to show college hockey.

LS...
Yeah.
On another note, at BU tonight. 7-1 defeat to UMass-Lowell, Millan got lit up like a Christmas tree.
I don't know why BU always has to suck at the beginning of the season. Then find their groove in January in time for the Beanpot, make a run, get home ice in HE playoffs, but their early season struggles have kept them out of the tourney too often.
RIT finally pulls out an Atlantic Hockey contest. Offense woke up after being down 3-1 in the 2nd to get two before the end of the period and two more in the 3rd despite getting significantly outshot again in the 3rd period. 5-3 final.
Good night to be a Tiger - they get their best skater back in defenseman Chris Saracino, their #1 goalie back in Shane Madolora (baffling NCAA suspension for not checking a box on an eligibility form), and a 3.5 million donation towards the new arena that they are now talking about having a chance to be ready for the 2013-14 season.
Oh yeah, they also beat arch rival Air Force 3-1.
Elsewhere, I was chuckling at the ECAC standings through 2 weeks of conference play. EIGHT teams are tied for first with 4 points, and seven of them have identical records of 2-1-0
The Terriers are losing some big time talent mid-season.....
****ing A. First Trivino being stupid and now Coyle leaving because of academics (I wonder if he'll use the Chris Bourque excuse "School is too hard" )
Time for Chris Connolly (who I still want the Sabres to sign after the season...he's gonna be a poor man's Pominville IMO) to stop being completely snakebitten and start carrying the team. Luckily, Millan has been in top form lately. At least we have some decent depth and a solid blue line...
Multiple sources told College Hockey News that the report was likely referring to defenseman Adam Clendening, as they had heard similar rumors. Mike Mullowney, the founder of the BC blog and son of former BC player Mike Mullowney, has since confirmed to CHN that the post did in fact refer to Clendening.
In a phone interview with CHN on Monday night, Clendening denied that there was any truth to those rumors.
"I will absolutely deny that," Clendening said. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm going back and playing the second semester at BU. Help us finish out the season, be a big part of that, and just continue doing what I've been doing. But yeah, I will absolutely deny that rumor. It's nowhere near the truth."
Big Red (Cornell) fan here. (sad to admit that I'm old enough to have watched Nieuwendyk play my freshman year) Pretty disappointing season last year after the previous 2. Not sure how this season will be yet. Any Lynah Faithful here?
I'm an alum, but not quite as long in the tooth as you
If anyone is interested in watching a hockey game where the players actually care about the game, I can suggest Michigan at Notre Dame on the NBC Sports station. I've seen most of the second period and it's 10x more exciting than watching one of this season's Sabres games.

It's definitely a good game. Got some good matchups with Sheahan vs. Merril and Phillip DiGiuseppe (draft eligable) vs. Stephen Johns.
I've seen a decent amount of UM games this year and I really like DiGiuseppe. If he were around in the second during one of our picks (if we still have them) i wouldn't mind grabbing him at all. He is a fine young player.
That Harvard - Yale game last night was fantastic.
Also if any of you have the BIG 10 Network, they are showing an old classic of Maine vs. Minnesota. Leopold is the captain for the Gophers and the commentators can not stop talking about him.
Harvard had trouble staying out of the box early in this period, can't seem to get much going... IMO BU has this! I'm definitely rooting for Northeastern later as well.
