GM#2 ,,, Hawks 5 - Stars 2

Great game ,, Only complaint being Scott playing and Sharp meltdown in 3rd (Gotta keep your cool in 2 goal game)

Bolland , Keith , Seabrook and Toews with strong games IMO

Hawks knew they had it in the bag in the third and stopped caring.

No problem with that game...pretty much everyone played well.

Chicago 5, Dallas 2

Strengths:
  • Defensive play of defensemen and forwards
  • Scoring chances
  • Capitilization of scoring chances
  • Active play of defenseman not biting us
  • Crawford was good

Looked much better tonight than yesterday, though the power play looked rusty.

D played above expectations. Good game all around. I wonder when Ben Smith will be ready as Saad is not really doing much for me.

It's on the losing team to bring the energy. If Dallas doesn't want to play, why should the Hawks bother?

Have to get the home ice advantage back going. Last year wasn't good enough.

Please stay healthy Bolland. This team is leagues better when you're on the ice. He might be the MVP of the team.

Kruger probably played roster spot for himself.

I was very pleased with Krüger tonight, claimed more space than he ever had before.

Keith was so good in our zone.

Would have liked to see more Kane. Love how Mayers is standing up for our guys.

Did Sharp lose his mind? Even tho the Dallas player (Dunno who it was) sold it kinda big time, it was so unnessecary to give the officials lip about it and get a miconduct.

Leddy, what a guy. Bickell being pysical.

A really good game.

Much, much better game from the defensemen tonight

bolland's was strong, liked seeing Bickell throw his weight around
Toews and Sharp were good, rest of the top 6 was solid if unspectacular

Mayers and Kruger were also pretty solid, nice to see Kruger getting pk time. Nice play blocking that Souray shot, shame he couldn't get back up and into the play.

Scott was disastrous, not sure why we have him in the lineup

Great win. That Toews goal coming out of the penalty box was a thing of beauty.

The boys put their shooting skates on. Hit all the plates tonight. Dominating.

Oh I didn't mean they stopped caring in a bad way. Dallas pretty much folded up from puck drop so there was nothing wrong with it.

Just finished watching. I don't really think the scoreline really shows how dominate an effort this was. It was 1 way traffic the vast majority of the night. They only had 4 ****ing shots 32 minutes in

Still astonishing how much better this team is with Bolland in the lineup.

We're all the panic-ers from last night at now???

Just got back from the game, it was awesome. Had no idea I was going till 5pm. Buddy called up with an extra ticket in the 200 level and a media pass to the Governors Room for the sponsors banquet. Hell yeah I wanted to go I told him. Free tickets, free parking, free food, free drinks, free bag of hawks merchadise including a sweet pullover and hat, got to hang out and take pictures with Savard, Espo, Bull and Stan. Those guys were awesome.

Me and my buddy asked Savard if he wanted to join our over 30 men's league team and he said no, but then ended up having a long conversation with us about a trip he took to Vegas for Wayne Gretzkys fantasy camp and how he partied the whole time and could barely skate, but went on a run in the casino and won 25 straight hands of blackjack. Espo asked me if I was a paison because of the size of my nose. Had to break it to him gently that I was jewish and not italian.

And to top it all off, great game!

To think, at 5pm I assumed my night wold be spent on the couch listening to the annoying cackles of Eddie and Pat and instead I got to do all that.

Kruger blocked a shot. In no way did he show more than Pirri, Smith, or even Saad.

haters gonna hate!

this team doesn't need an offensive player like pirri at center

we need a defensively aware player like kruger to man the bottom lines

in kane went back to wing then maybe but right now our C's are toews-kane-bolland-kruger

thats pretty damn good

Hatred is a popular impairment to ones vision.

A 4th liners job 1st and foremost is to do all they can to keep the puck out of their net. Pirri cannot hold Kruger's jock in that category. Pirri's (and Kanes) lines saw lots of periods of sustained Stars pressure Friday night. Both were better Saturday. Kane's line by having Hossa come down lower (covering Kane's flaws) Pirri's line by having Pirri in Rockford and Kruger that spot.

Hatred? Hardly. He's a marginal player at this point. Smith definitely makes him surplus.
