One minute after it happens there's a thread, wow.
Yeah pretty disappointing HF op's have been slacking lately.
Cooke did the "quiet room" thing, though, so he wasn't just buying it.
Indeed.
The hit was to his chin, clearly. It wasn't dirty, clearly. The fact there doesn't appear to be a penalty for it is a bit weird, but whatever.
I really would like to see the breakdown there. It seems Sarich got the double-minor for the high stick to Engelland and nothing for the play to Cooke...but I swear I saw the ref's arm in the air before that happened...
Anyone saying Cooke 'sold it' is clearly reacting by their hatred of the guy and not with their eyes.

For my money, he should really only be in trouble for his cross check to Engelland's face. That was worse. But he wont get anything for that seeing as its someone charging at him looking to pound on him.

Yeah, that was pretty nasty.
I don't know how people are saying there wasn't head contact on the Cooke hit. I don't really care for the overzealous discipline we've been seeing lately, so I'm not calling for a suspension, but he definitely tagged him right on the chin.
No suspension will come of that hit and none should!! Looked like a fairly clean hit to me with Sarich just being so much taller that it looked bad. Follow through on hit to body resulted in hit on chin.

Follow through on hit to chin resulted on hit to body. But still, not that bad, it was purely because of height I think. Clearly made initial contact with the chin though.
