I love McDonagh, but that was an unessecary, undisciplined penalty. A hold in the offensive zone, on the rush? Come on, get your head in the game.

I only saw a very small portion of this game. I'd say at least we got the point, but they didn't play disciplined enough at the end of the game to earn that benefit of the doubt -- and this team is of a caliber where we can expect wins every night. No more "at least". Win or lose, simple as that, and we better be on the former end much more than the latter with this roster.

Meh. Not too upset over this one.

The Kings are a very good team. Better than us and we managed to steal a point from them. I'll take it.

Edit: And stop taking stupid ****ing penalties!

Player of the Game : Callahan, nobody else came close really (other than Hank, who did his usual stellar work in the net).
The Good : The first and second lines played well.
The Bad : The third not so much.
The Redden : Defensive zone passing.

And ROFL on the new award

I don't get the two forwards and one defenseman on the PK.

I guess because Dubi and Cally are our best penalty killers?

Considering I thought they were going to get zugged, I'm pretty happy to see they can hang with the Kings who are probably slated to be one of the better teams out west this year. Ot loss aside. I see this game as a positive.

Oh well...

They get a point out of it. Win tomorrow and we have 3 out of 4 points in Sweden.

I like the way they rebounded after a slow start. Saw some things I really liked:

Gaborick
McD
Dubi
Cally all very solid.

We need to see a much better start from these guys tomorrow.

Nice to see a rejuvenated Gaborik, hitting & crashing the net even. He and Richards should be fun to watch this season. Really impressed by Richards' passing.

That was a dive, but you still have to kill the PP chance and the Rangers couldn't. It sucks, but moving on to tomorrow --- the Ducks will be hungry since the Sabres smoked them.

A point in a game against the Kings where the penalties were 5-1, we came out flat, and we were missing our #1 defenseman.

Call me unnecessarily optimistic, but a point is not as bad as it could have been. Should have been able to kill the game at 2-1.
