Just got back from the game today. Team looked great in the second and third, complete 180 from the first. You can just tell when they're playing with confidence. As for specific players, I thought Arnott and Langenbrunner (surprisingly to me) had nice games, Shattenkirk looked good too. Nikitin was awful in the first, seemed to settle down a bit (much like the first game). Halak was nothing special again, should have had the second one for sure. Oh and Stewie's goal was disgusting (although I saw it from the other side of the rink)
Nikitin did get caught out of position and had a bad giveaway early, but then he was pretty impressive. In the future, teams will push back harder than Calgary did, but the way he shut down Iginla was more than I expected.
Despite the slow start, overall it was a very well played game. Arnott and Langenbrunner have been terrific so far, and Pietrangelo played a very solid game. Would've liked to see Grachev in the lineup, as I think he's being wasted in the press box. If your not gonna put him in, send him down to Peoria so he can get top line minutes.
P.S. Stewart's goal was absolutely filthy. Made that backhand look so easy with just a flick of the wrist.
