Arnott is the kind of player that are missing pieces to championship teams.

Great game for the blues, minus Halak.

If he can play a tad bit better, this blues team is going to be very hard to beat.

I promised myself I wouldn't miss this game after missing the opening night game. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that this was going to be an afternoon game. Ugh.

Oh well, got to listen to the last period on the radio. Good to see (hear?) us notch that first win.

I'm glad they got it together after that terrible first period. They looked like 2 different teams out there.

Petro was great, at least in the last two periods. a goal, an assist and a +3

The vets also looked real good. Both Arnott and Langenbrunner, who had a nice assist on the Shatty goal.

It was also good to see the offense evenly dispersed. Hopefully this will give our team some confidence to carry over into the next game.

We definitely deserved to win that game but Calgary's goalie had a bad game.

We have so many weapons now and Perron isn't even in the line up yet, I don't want to jinx us but we will be a playoff team this year.

Just got back from the game today. Team looked great in the second and third, complete 180 from the first. You can just tell when they're playing with confidence. As for specific players, I thought Arnott and Langenbrunner (surprisingly to me) had nice games, Shattenkirk looked good too. Nikitin was awful in the first, seemed to settle down a bit (much like the first game). Halak was nothing special again, should have had the second one for sure. Oh and Stewie's goal was disgusting (although I saw it from the other side of the rink)

Nikitin did get caught out of position and had a bad giveaway early, but then he was pretty impressive. In the future, teams will push back harder than Calgary did, but the way he shut down Iginla was more than I expected.

Despite the slow start, overall it was a very well played game. Arnott and Langenbrunner have been terrific so far, and Pietrangelo played a very solid game. Would've liked to see Grachev in the lineup, as I think he's being wasted in the press box. If your not gonna put him in, send him down to Peoria so he can get top line minutes.

P.S. Stewart's goal was absolutely filthy. Made that backhand look so easy with just a flick of the wrist.
