Vincour started off playing in the ? spot but the second line has since been shifted to Ott-Benn-Eriksson.

Wondering why the Stars rink looks almost entirely empty -- at least judging by the seats you see on TV during play by play angles. I've never seen it like this, and know that Dallas and Texas is a great hockey hotbed. What gives?

Watching the game on center ice, first thing i noticed was the crowd. I hope its not usually like this? Maybe because its Columbus day/early game?

Yes it's an early game. Columbus Day, and the Texas Rangers are playing at the same time in the ALCS Playoffs

Another bad turnover by Vincour just inside the offensive blueline.

I've noticed that for a lot of the games on today the crowds have been sparse. Not just this one.
Lot of people have to work today? MLB?

Wow. I wonder how may seats are actually full?!
What is the attendance situation likely to be for a typical home game?
I know if my team's ownership was in flux I'd be a little less likely to buy tickets, too.

I didn't know anyone who was off today, though, I also don't know anyone who works for the gov't. Around here it was just a usual day except no mail.
PS, bonjour guys. I hope you don't mind me stopping by again to watch?

i think the main problem is that the bulk of the corporate-type season tickets are in the lower bowl, so it looks real bad on tv. vast majority of those tickets are likely technically "sold." in los angeles, those seats were in the mezzanine and sparsely filled when i went to kings games at staples center, while the lower level seats were mostly full.
this plus the rangers game and the holiday that's not really a holiday for most.
