Nothing confirmed, but it might be Cory Schneider's start tonight in CBJ. Hasn't played since EX game in SJ. 2 weeks with no gm action.

5-1 win. No doubt in my mind that we won't dominate.

It's kinda weird that Mr. Canucklehead didn't start this GDT.

It's been so long...

I'm thinking 3-2 Blue Jackets. They come out guns ablazing and score three times in the first, twice on the PP. Prospal-Carter-Nash line has a field day, but we chip away in the third, but only get 2 goals.

If the CBJ haven't gotten their stuff together any more than in their previous two games - yep you'll dominate.

Not to be pointing out the obvious here, but I will anyway...

Prospal (new) - Carter (new) - Nash
Umberger - Vermette - Atkinson (rookie)
Calvert (rookie last year 42 games) - Pahlsson - Dorsett
Brassard - MacKenzie - Mayorov (12 games over 3 seasons before now)

Tyutin - Martinek (new)
Methot - Clitsome (42 games over 2 seasons before now)
Russell - Savard (rookie)

Mason
Sanford (new)

The top line looked VERY good against Nashville on Friday, not so much versus Minnesota on Saturday.

The defense has looked like crap both games. Mason has been hung out to dry (again) but he also hasn't made the "spectacular" type saves you want to see out of a #1 goaltender.

The PP is now 0 for 11 (the worst start to a season EVER).

They are playing like they can't anticipate each other very well. With the new guys and the young guys, that isn't too surprising (just EXTREMELY frustrating).

I woke up this morning and I wanted to know what time the game was at...look at HF...nothing...thought maybe I had my days mixed up.

Tried to stick to the MC formula so you guys wouldn't freak out too bad.

Cue the goaltender controversy if Schneids has a 40-save shutout...
If we trade any goaltender to CMB, Schneider would be my second choice, just saying.

I thought the Oilers had the greatest collection of no name D-men in the NHL.

I stand corrected.

Wow, Columbus' defence is god-awful tonight. Hopefully the Sedins pick it apart and retake 1st in scoring.

Also, yay Schneider!

The Wisniewski suspension sure isn't helping things.

Man, if Sturm-Hodgson-Samuelson can't make hay versus that D and goalie combo....who can they score against? You can almost hear the Sedins salivating...
Mind you, the Jackets seem to ratchet up their game versus the Canucks, so we will see...

Well, we did own the BJs in the season series last year. Too bad Kes is still out and doesn't get to hang with his old buddy Umberger. We'd get a chance to learn all the latest swear words if the mics down by the ice are on.

4-3 BJs if Luongo plays.
3-1 Canucks if Schneider gets the start.

Homophobic remarks and throwing various fruits at your opponent is the trend this year.

We'd all trade Lack if we had the chance, but he just doesn't have any value.

My guess? It would occur against the Russell / Savard pairing. That pair scares me.

Good that they're getting Schneider in. You have to keep him game-fresh at this level or he'll come in way too cold. Showing consistency in their coaching at least.

Looking forward to this one. 3-1 'nucks.
