I have no problem with them not replacing the main event, what are they supposed to do in 1 week?

Hopefully they bump Siver/Cowboy to the PPV and move Scotty/Curran or Vera/Marshall to Spike.

Tavares/Jacopy is on the main card now. Spike would never give up their fights to PPV.

Koscheck offered to step in to fight Condit. Under most circumstances I would agree, there would be no options. In this case their appears to be one.

Unreal they pick that fight over Jorgensen vs. Curran.

I agree. I could see if this was for a Spike slot, alot of casual viewers would be more familiar with Tavares. It's not, true fans by the PPVs and I would guess that 80% would rather watch Jorgensen/Curran (or even the Vera scrap).

True, I didn't think about that.

Yeah, odd choice. I thiught Vera/Marshall and the Jorgensen fight would've been ahead of the Tavares one. Ahh well. I'm too frustrated about the GSP thing to care too much about the details like fight order, such a hit to the card.

On the plus side, there is some talk that the GSP/Condit fight could go superbowl weekend or on New Years' with Brock/Reem, flying to Vegas for either of those would take the sting away.

The Jorgensen fight has now taken the last spot on the PPV, pushing the Jacoby fight down now that Brad Tavares has pulled out due to injury.

Which is ridiculous considering the fact that you have a fighter who once had a heavyweight titleshot in the prelims...

I'm a Vera fan, but there's no reason to reward a guy who arguably shouldn't even be in the UFC. He's been dreadful to watch lately, too. That ' title shot' was ions ago, and Jorgensen fought for the belt within the last year for Zuffa.

Hard to get worked up either way though.

Well the only reason he does is because that beating he took from Thiago Silva was ruled a NC after Silva tested positive for roids and the UFC decided they'd bring him back since he technically didn't lose 3 in a row. If he loses this fight he'll be cut for sure.

I remember when Vera was supposed to be the next great fighter. Future LHW and HW champion!

I think he's also burdened by having a really awkward body size. He probably would do great if there was a 220lb divison or something like that. He loses his speed advantage at 205 and he"s too lanky for HW. That and he's really gun-shy about getting taken down these days. Ahh well, I'll still cheer for him.

It'll be interesting to see the PPV buys for this card.

Chael Sonnen made a good point with regards to Condit and him waiting for a shot against GSP. He only got that shot because of the whole Diaz situation, so what happens if Diaz comes out and completely dominates Penn? Personally, I don't see that happening as I feel Diaz is overrated, but the UFC obviously wanted that fight(Diaz/GSP) and if he wins in convincing fashion does Dana White go back to that fight when GSP returns? Condit could find himself waiting for a title shot that doesn't materialize, ala Rashad.

Would've been nice to see Condit fight Diaz in the main event and Penn fight someone else such as Koscheck, but I understand why that wasn't too realistic with all the other changes that have happened thus far.

Hearing a lot of good things from Tristar about Francis Carmont. Just an fyi, he probably won't be a world beater by any means but he'll definitely have a better than average chance against Cammozzi.
