Oh hell no! You could be right with regards to Eller, but for sure Gionta stays with Gomez and Pacioretty. That Gomez line had so many chances against Winnipeg.

Lots of chemistri on that one...100% agree. I believe that JM doesn't like to put all his eggs in the same basket so your line up is probable.
I would be tempted to try Palushaj with Cole and Plekanec or even Kostitsyn but if I remember, Kostitsyn looked real good with Eller. Not sure if Desharnais is a good fit with those 2 but where else you gonna put him.
You can manage Eller's minutes on the 3rd line where he belongs without putting him to the 4th line. Putting him on the 3rd line doesn't guarantee that he gets 3rd line minutes.
Same with Palushaj. He shouldn't be on the 1st, 2nd or 4th lines. He belongs with Eller and Desharnais on the 3rd.
With Cammalleri out, I don't see Cole with third line duties anymore. Plekanec will need someone to feed the puck to, so it'll be Kostitsyn or Cole, or both if Martin sees fit.
Moen got two points last game, so I wouldn't be surprised if he starts with Plekanec and a winger mentioned above. Eller... could start on the fourth line for a period to get groove on, but I don't see his utility there on the long run. There's just something about that third line of DD-Eller-Kostitsyn that I find would create three solid offensive/defensive lines.
For the combos posted by HomaridII, like the D pairings, not thrilled with the F trios. I'd prefer 3 scoring lines and 1 checking line up front with Eller and Palushaj up, instead looks like JM is looking to have 4 lines he can roll, with the 4th line being the kid line that would likely sit at the end of close games. Also would prefer to see Eller at center and DD on the wing...

Les trios ce matin: Moen-Plekanec-Cole, Pacioretty-Gomez-Gionta, Darche-Desharnais-Kostitsyn, Palushaj-Engqvist-Eller
Thanks a lot for the info. Throughout the game, if Moen doesn't perform well offensively or can't keep up on defense, wouldn't be surprised to see Kostitsyn or even Darche take his spot from time to time. And I wouldn't be surprised to see a fourth line goal.

Give it some time. This is Eller's first game back afterall...

that's the whole point and that's why im not freaking out yet.
eller is lballs on wing and great at center. if martin feels the need to bring him up slowly so that he plays better in the future and has less chance to re-injure himself then so be it, we can wait another game.

This just shows what an idiot Martin is. You don't take a player with top 6 skills on the 4th line and then expect him to succeed. In fact you break his confidence over time.
Moen and Darche play hard but have no top 6 talent, yet they play on the top 6 and get PP time.
ONLY MARTIN!
You give the guy you pay $4.5 million a year EVERY chance to succeed, not giving Cole opportunities to succeed on the PP.
ONLY MARTIN!
No energy line that can help turn the tide of a game, no toughness when someone drives Price into the net.

Nothing like freaking out about the practice lines as they stand 2 days before a game.

I don't wanna sound like a debbie downer here...but you do know that Cole is not really that great on the PP right? With the canes he barely scored on the PP most of his goals were from 5 on 5...long story short he's not a PP beast so there is some reasoning behind it.
But someone explain to me why he put DD on the PP...
SO isn't he more similar to cammalleri than palushaj?
Since PG was just watching the Dogs, I would assume he liked what he saw from Palushaj more then he did from Trotter. Palushaj won't hurt you in his own end, Trotter will.
Since Trotter has already cleared waivers he wouldn't need to re-clear them, meaning he could have been called up, would not have to go through recall waivers and if he was sent back in under 30 days he wouldn't need to be put on waivers to be sent back down.
