Heading to Tampa Nov. 9th-15th

Flights are booked, staying in Indian Shores, just wondering what the best restaurants,clubs/bars,shopping malls etc.. are. We are heading to the Bucs game on the 13th against the Texans too, and thoughts on how to get there (Is there a shuttle??) where to eat etc..

Thanks

Since you're staying on the beaches, try restaraunts like Salt Rock Grill, the Lobster Pot or the Wine Cellar. Those are the high end places. PJ's Oyster Bar and Jimmy Iguana's aren't bad and more affordable.

We basically have nothing resembling public transportation in west central Florida. Everything is set up for driving personal cars. You'll be driving to the games. Plan to leave a couple hours early for the Bucs game.

I would highly recommend you swing by Quaker Steak and Lube. Wednesday is bike night and even for the people-watching aspects, it's worth the crowd. Add to that the best wings in the area and you'll have a good time.

Since you're hanging in Pinellas I would highly recommend Quaker Steak and Lube - 10400 49TH ST, Clearwater, Fl 33762. Wednesday is bike night and packed and if for nothing else, a great night for people watching (and even greater if you're into bikes.... hundreds upon hundreds). Add to that the best wings around and it's a good time

And if you head to the Forum for a Lightning game, swing in to Hattricks, good people, good food, and very hockey friendly.

Don't bother with public transportation. It's pretty much non-existent. For the Bucs game, there's going to be traffic-no real way around it. You might have to walk a bit to get to the RayJay, but parking somewhere off of Himes is the easiest (in my experience).

If you don't want to be bothered by loud, obnoxious bikes, Thursday nights at Quaker Steak is cruise night for cars & trucks.

+1 on Hattricks. Really cool hockey bar to hit up before the game right downtown.

There is also a Hooters even closer to the Forum on Channelside, and that's a place you can't really go wrong with either.

Hope you enjoy the the games here, hopefully the stadium renovations will be almost complete so you can get the full experience!
