Noticed something interesting for those curious. I was trying to find the closest comparison to Lando's rookie season in the past few years, and I think Jamie Benn actually fits the bill.
Benn's rookie year he was 20, but Lando has been 19 for most of this season so the age difference isn't too wide.

That's what Lando is on pace for at least. And I could definitely see him becoming a lot like Benn if he worked on his offensive game a little further. He has a good shot, he just needs to bring out his inner beast more often.

Landeskog has the potential to be more important to the team should he turn in that 70 point potential and stick with the energy/defensive game that he also has.
I was referring to my original quote about comparable with Benn, when you suggested he wouldn't be as offensive as Benn but better overall.
Just curious if that's changed or you still maintain that.
I whole heartedly believe it is an accurate comparison.

Before - After in terms of his newest projections.
I want him to have a couple more multi point games in the next couple weeks. I'd love to see him push for 60 points. Going to be tough obviously, he'd need 20 points in his last 18 games.
I want see Landy play with Duchene for an extended period of time at some point... I know O'Reilly and Landeskog are nearly inseparable right now, but a Duchene/Landeskog connection could be explosive as hell. (Once Duchene learns how to use teammates)

im cool with Downie playing with those 2. If Sacco is content with leaving duchene on wing with stazz then I want Mueller on that line put hejduk on the third with olver

That could be a good preseason trial and error type thing. Right now with the playoff race and all, not a chance this happens.

I understand we all want Duchene to explode and be a superstar, but Landeskog and O'Reilly are just gold together. Every game. There's absolutely no reason to break that up right now.
