Might as well have another thread dedicated to the walking wounded. It will be easier to track man-games lost right from the start rather than picking up mid-season.
Currently Injured: David Perron: Post-concussion syndrome - 16 games lost
BJ Crombeen: Wonky shoulder - 16 games lost
Andy McDonald: Scrambled brains - 13 games lost
Kent Huskins: Bruised cankle - 7 games lost
Injuries Overcome: Carlo Colaiacovo: Being himself - 5 game lost
Total Games lost through 10/21/11: 57 man-games

I guess the only good news is that we don't have this guy....

****. Is there any chance the hit is looked at by the league?
I hope he's not gone for an extended period of time. He's such an important player. This really sucks.
I doubt it. The hit perhaps caught McDonald a bit high given his shortness but it was a pretty clean hit IMO. I'll also note that McDonald didn't go down until Backes came in and while trying to punch the Dallas player, caught Andy right in the jaw. As Backes put the Dallas player in a headlock, that's when Andy grabbed his head and went down.

I didn't even realize that Backes got him as well; I should try to get another look at it.
St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Monday that forward Andy McDonald has been placed on injured reserve due to a concussion.
It's going to be tough losing AMac for any amount of time, but hopefully he's not gone for too long. ~20 games doesn't seem like a long time when you compare it to how many games Perron has missed.
I hope this means Grachev will get more of an opportunity to play on a scoring line.

The bad news: Matt D'Agostini just went hard into the boards and appeared to be favoring his arm before heading immediately to the dressing room.
The good news: Unless it's possible to concuss an arm, it doesn't appear to be concussion related
Dags went to the dressing room where the team doctor took x-rays but told him "that's gotta be broken". Dags, in a rage of anger, began throwing things around the locker room. One of the pucks he threw deflected back and knocked his helmet off of the top shelf....ironically falling onto his head and knocking him out. A few minutes later, the doctor returned and found Dags laying on the floor. After waking him he said "the good news is that I made a mistake and your wrist isn't broken....the bad news is you definitely have a concussion now."
You heard it here first folks...it'll be in tomorrow's paper!
