Our line-up for the next game should look like this:

Filatov - Spezza - Zibanejad
Michalek - Da Costa - Alfredsson
Foligno - Regin - Neil
Greening - Smith - Konopka

Phillips - Lee
Cowen - Rundblad
Kuba - Karlsson

Anderson

Please.

Not gonna happen. Gonchar stays in, Konopka likely out. Butler will slot back in too I am sure unless he gives MacLean the middle finger sometime between now and tomorrow.

So you want me to "stop telling people to be negative"... while you are telling me to "stop being negative" towards those people?

Take your own advice and get off your high horse and stop telling people to "do as you say and not as you do".

What you just said made no sense whatsoever.

Watch more hockey, bro.

No one said that it's going to happen. I just said that's what I'd like to see. Considering what each of them has shown I'd rather have Konopka in than Butler, too. Gonchar should get the bench soon if he continues to play the way he has.

Boooooooooooooooo

Good article here about last night.

Quote:
Just as I was surprised at the booing of Filip Kuba on fan appreciation night last season, I was surprised that Gonchar was booed, loudly and often, during play in the game. I couldn't help but think of the words of Robin Lehner, who suffered a pretty intense booing at the hands of home fans in Binghamton last year:

"I hated it. I didn't like it at all. The way it [his season] started wasn't ideal. I really didn't like it there. I was miserable playing there."

Prediction: CJam and Push540 are going to have some epic arguments on here. They may even be the same person with opposite agendas.

Yea, I thought the booing in the first home game & during the annoucement of the team seemed wrong. Especially to a future HOF player when he retires which will likely be after his contract expires in Ottawa, if not sooner. However, during the game when he floats or makes a bad pass then I think it's acceptable, they should have booed Spezza as well last night for all his give aways.

I think it's going to be a very long season for Gonchar in Ottawa & I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't ask to be traded asap although I don't know if any team would want him with his diminished skill, age & contract with another yr on it.

The guy that actually deserves the boos is our intrepid GM. He is the idiot that signed these guys well past their primes.

Wonder who sits next game, or if big mac will keep everything the same. I hope Filatov and Butler aren't kept in the pressbox forever, Murray really needs to make a deal

I wouldn't be surprised at all if both Butler and Filatov were inserted back into the lineup for tomorrow's game. Konopka is really not needed against the Avs and I could see Condra getting a "breather" as well.

Fans did boo him. Remember last year when he came out for the Gonchar presentation?

I am glad the guys on Team 1200 are tearing into those dummies who booed during the intro. that was completely useless and all it can really accomplish is to make both players regress even more. Sad how some people don't get it.

Booing Gonchar before the game was a little much. I don't think that was warranted, but his play during the game certainly deserved a few boos. He was terrible in his playing and his (lack of) decision making.

Kuba, it's just funny seeing a guy with his size go down like he's 5'8" 175lbs...

I really hated the pre-game boos. This is a happy time, the home opener of our 20th year and we had more d0uchey people to boo anyway. Gonchar and Kuba have not been good, but booing is pretty low for the home opener.

Lol, if you can't understand a simple sentence, then I understand your frustration.

More simply put, "don't advise people when you're incapable of taking that same advice".

I think I'll avoid him most of the time from now on, he doesn't seem to be on the ball enough to deserve my time.

Also, I don't have an agenda, I would very much like the Senators to have a good season so the head coach can stay on and develop the team.
