Your favorite Lightning player

Ok why not: Who's your favorite Lightning player?

Still Vinny for me.

Stamkos for me, great guy and is the future of this franchise. I've known him since I was 10, so perhaps I'm biased here.

It's a very very tough choice between Marty and Vinny.

Love Vinny and Marty. But when I was 11 - 9 years ago (when I really started getting into hockey, my dad put me on his season ticket plan), I deemed St. Louis my all time favorite (partly because he was my dads favorite too :p - like father like son), and have gotten his jersey ever since. I still think Vinny is right up there, but Marty gets the edge for me.

Stamkos is awesome, but after growing up watching Marty/Vinny, it could never be anyone but them.

Between the top three guys, it's too close to call for me.

So I'm thinking Dominic Moore. I have a running joke with the guys I watch most of the Lightning games with that's he's consistently the best player on the ice.

..until Nate Thompson shows up.

Hell, now I'm conflicted again.

Moore is better than people think. He has an attribute that Marty also has: making his linemates better.

Any combination of Marty + (x), results in success. This seems to happen with Moore as well.

Definitely. You can tell just from watching each of them, too. Moore is particularly unstoppable bringing the puck along the neutral zone boards and deep into the opposing zone. That, and behind the net - where he set up so many of those playoff Bergenheim goals.

Vinny been a fan since he was drafted in 1998. In fact I remember the AVs wanted to trade Joe Sakic for the 1st overall pick to take vinny.

Vinny as he is the first pro athlete that I knew of that shared my first name. Been following ever since he was drafted. I found out about him and Damphousse the same year, you can only imagine how stoked I was, lolol

Marty has everything you want in a player, skills, attitude, ethics, everything. Vinny is right up there, too. Stamkos is the future face of the team and the nose-play last season showed his mettle. Shannon is heading down the same path. Thomson's short handed goal last year won some hearts, too. Malone has his moments as well.

But when it is all said and done my favorite Lightning player is the one on the ice with the puck on the end of his stick

Started watching in 06-07, Vinny was arguably the best player in the world that season, became my favourite player.

Big fan of Downie too though (obviously MSL too....who doesnt love MSL?)

Is tough to pick between Marty and Vinny, but I have to with Vinny, not only a good player, but the work he does for the community is amazing.

Isn't this like Kubina's 10th year with the team?
