Pro-tip: we actually scored 2 goals. The scoresheet is a lie.

I'll see my way out.

Thanks for making the thread, I was going to have to =b

The other thread is closed, so all post-game talk needs to go here...or somewhere else.

True enough, but I just posted how the score is shown for a shootout game.

The Avalanche REALLY need to update their roster photos. Landeskog's picture is not even up! Where do I send inquiries to the Avalanche's webmaster?

It is joke.

Saw the later bit of 2nd and all of 3rd. Very unimpressed with the win tonight. Quincey has probably been the best defender to start off the season, and Hejda is impressively good at both ends.

Just watched the highlights, pretty aweomse when the Avs won, Duchene skated right to Varly and they Hugged each other haha! Looks like they're really enjoying the wins, Good to see some excitement from them, reminds me of the 09/10 season!!!!

Good feeling about this year! With a Healthy Varlamov I dont see how we can finish lower then 10th!!!

Avs_19 no such thing as an easy win in this league anymore this aint 1999 homie. Its hard to win against any team and even harder against a desperate team and that what the boys faced today. Albeit the Avs didnt help themselves any and that second goal Varly let in was Budaj esque. Getting 2 points on the road after a game like that is next to a miracle. The boys need to forget this game go into Ottawa tomorrow and haunt Andersons dreams.

I love how the front page of NHL.com only mentions the other 2 games, perhaps only broadcasted games count

Landeskogs poke check in the neutral zone when the net was empty followed by a great pass so we could enter the zone led to the equalizer. So I'm glad his ass got that goal eventually. He earned it.

I noticed that too. I bet it'll be featured in the re-cap games tomorrow only because Lando scored his first.

duchenes skating ability is so smooth, the shootout goal was just so clean and quick. Varly played great, but we missed a lot of chances in the middle of the ice.

That Hejduk goal was so dirty. My god how can he think about retirement when his shot is still so filthy

I'm mad I let my roommate talk me into watching a Korean movie instead of finishing the game. But I'm happy to see Lando come through for us.... Rick Nash deserves our respect though... What a phenomenal and underrated player.

Hedjuk is a fricking babe. I also still love the 3rd line, imo it looks like the best line for the majority of the night.

What did you guys think of the Statsny's line?

Glad to see Landeskog get his first goal. Hopefully the first of many. I just hope Duchene (along with the rest of our offense) can turn on a switch and get it going soon.

Also, O'Reilly has been absolutely dynamite this season. He is the most improved by far.

Rick Nash is acknowledged as one of the best pure goal scorers in the game. Ask anybody to name the top 5 goal scorers in the game and his name is mentioned 9 out of 10 times.

What else does he provide?

Defense? Nope, he's 30 feet away from his zone most of the time.

Playmaking? Nope, he's arguably the most selfish player in the league.

Leadership? Been there for a while now, team is yet to accomplish anything and various coaches have been thrown under the bus.

Rick Nash is tremendously talented, but the most one-dimensional hockey player in the game today. I don't understand how he is underrated.

Stastny's making some plays, his linemates aren't getting it done IMO. Jones played better tonight with not floating...but he still needs to be that guy that takes the puck and charges to the net, he needs to find spaces to get open. I think Galiardi needs to take Kobasew's spot, Kobasew is playing hard, but he doesn't have the hands to play in the top-6.

Overall I didn't care who the Avs picked, but deep down I personally wanted Huberdeau. Might not have the frame Lando has, but he is so skilled that he reminds me of Datsyuk.
