The bench looked seriously pissed at the refs in that final minute. A whole period of missed chances followed up quickly with questionable calls to kill momentum.
Blues play with this sort of intensity and energy from the beginning, and this is a very different game.
Agreed 100%...that's what makes a result like this so frustrating. Seeing all that effort and intensity finally come out in the last period in an attempt to undo what happened in the first two.
Steen and McDonald played their ***** off for a full 60, not sure I could say the same for anybody else.

couple of BAAAD calls, but seriously, we play like that from the start, and we're golden. And for god sake's sit reaves and play grachev. Why is this kid sitting in the press box??
2 extremely saveable goals and a short hander that could of went 50/50. Yeah Halak played like **** again. The skaters were sluggish in the first and second but no glaring errors that cost the game.
Soooooo, maybe we can take a look at Elliot? God, I can't believe I am typing that.
It can't be much worse than the sloppy play we've seen from Halak so far can it? If Halak plays like this against SJ or Anaheim with the rest of the team laying an egg in front of him like we saw in the first two periods then we will be looking at some ugly losses coming our way this weekend.
Dallas did what it took to win so I'm not trying to take anything away from them, but it's not like they played so well that we couldn't have won tonight. These are games this team needs to start coming out on the winning side of if we are going to be a playoff team on a regular basis.
Dallas is another one of those teams that we have struggled against lately. Like Calgary, Dallas is a team that just seems to bring out the worst kinda play from the Blues. Unlike the Flames the Stars never really seem to "blowout" the Blues but they always seem to be on the right side of those one goal games. Halak too has struggled against the Stars so tonight needs to be a night where the Halak from the first 12 games of last season shows up.
Damn kinda called it. Good to know nothing has changed from last year.

I do hope that Reaves is a healthy scratch next game but with Porter in his place. Reaves is a definite upgrade over Janssen but that's not saying much. I'd rather have Porter in there.

I only watched the last 10 minutes of the third, but those two calls against you guys in the final few minutes were pretty bad. The first one was questionable, the second was down right awful.
Not a very good game, you arent going to win many when you take the first 30 minutes of the game off.
Halak needs to start making some saves that a starter should make. Stewart had a nice goal, but overall a sloppy game. Berglund-Oshie-Stewart got no sustained pressure tonight, but I thought Oshie played a pretty good game overall. I thought the defense played alright overall, especially Petro. Backes needs to be more effective, especially in setting the tone in front of the net. McDeezy and Steen were effective as always. The Arnott signing is still paying early dividends as well. I do like the way our 4th line is playing, the can usually be counted on for a solid shift.
I personally thought the Stars played a little sloppy early on as well, completely whiffing some good scoring opportunities. Give Lehtonen credit as well, this might be the year he puts it all together. Reffing was ****** all night, but bad calls went both ways so you cannot blame the game on it,
