Is it me or is Marty slowly losing his on ice awareness? I've been noticing it...

Downie, Ritola and maybe Moore are the only ones who seem to care about the game right now.

And is it just me or is Boucher keeping Stammer, Marty, Vinny longer on the bench than usual?

We need a good defense-man, we are going nowhere with Bergeron, Kubina and Gervais playing so much.

Every Tampa player is lost on the ice, so many turn-overs today... is pathetic

I guess when Boucher stressed defensive positioning in practice it didn't work and they also forgot how to make tape to tape passes. So many turnovers...

3/4 of the team looks like they'd rather be fishing. It's disgraceful hockey.

I know I'm potentially criticizing Boucher, but is it possible that his focus on being a midseason/playoff coach this early is not conducive to early season play?

I may be way off here, but his stump interviews seem to revolve around that we're not what we were at the end of last season. Self fulfilling prophecy?

With all due respect, **** last year.

You think that would make the players appear to be playing in a fog and not moving their feet?

And off the ice.... Roli has left the building.

Is this one of those drama games Boucher has plotted? Like let them up 5 or 6 goals and then we score 16 in the 3rd? Wait, let me pinch myself... OUCH... damn, this isn't one of my good dreams.

What I'm saying is that if/when they can shake the spectre of "last year", they can win some games this year.

New team slogan: **** Last Year.

So can we consider games like this (and like the Bruin's game) an enema to flush out the glow of last season and then start with a clean slate? Still don't like watching it.

Psssst, guys, that net thingy is where you're supposed to aim, and better if it's where the goalie ain't.

daboltz, you are a breath of fresh air.

Yes, exactly like an enema.

You'd think the first thing a guy like Guy would try to establish is said slogan. Comparing this team / season to last year's will only put more pressure and eventually more fail on the team. I know Guy puts pressure only in his tires but his players apparently don't.

That was sort of my point about his stump interviews. I don't know if that's what he's also telling the team, but it's clearly in his head.

This is also a management/coach group susceptible to media influence.

My hockey streams has crashed. Completely. I'm strangely OK with this. Bed time.
