There's no reason the Flames shouldn't win the next 6 games. Toronto, Edmonton, New York, Nashville, Colorado, and then St. Louis. Montreal is probably the best out of them all, and Calgary played great for the most part. Calgary has shown the ability to beat these teams before, but the Flames like to make things harder than they really are.

Solid effort by the Flames. It was great to hear the Habs booing their own team.
Only area of concern is the shot totals (yet again). Although many of the Habs shots were from the perimeter, the Flames need to reverse this trend.
I'm sure a lot of people would argue that with you.

The Flames won't win the next six games because they rarely play a full 60 mins every game. I think Sutter should take a page from Tampa Bay and remove the morning skate.

They'd be wrong.

No, they won't; that's the frustrating part. Calgary is good enough to do it, but they won't.

A cup ring would help Kipper's cause. As much as I like Vernie, got to say Kipper is better than him even without a cup.

Wasn't Trevor Kidd the best ever goaltender for the Flames?

Jamie McClennan was the best goalie ever. Even though he took a lot of penalties, It was too freeking funny to watch him try to chop a player's leg off when he was being screened. Even guys like Holmstrom hated screening him.

WIN column!! Couldnt watch the game but looks like Kipper was making some saves and as much as I hate Borky sometimes, looks like he had a good game. Now the first win is off the back, takes some pressure off the team.

GO FLAMES!!!!!!

You peoPle saying kipper needs a ring piss me off. Look at how far he took the Flames in 03! Vernon couldn't of done it. He had a great team behind him when he won the cup. Kipper didnt.

It's between Kipper and Turek! Just joking, Kipper even without a cup hands down!

Actually thinking about it a little more, Cujo was the best goalie we ever had. Look at what he accomplished in so little time here. He had a career 2.55 GAA with the Flames, and led a historic comback in a playoff game against San Jose when Kipper was shaky. Hard to argue that.

Turek should get some consideration as best goalie every for what he gave up. Literally giving up millions to help the team, all class. Really started hating that guy after he signed his big contract, he totally made up for it tho by restructuring his contract.

Absolutely, that is a rarity in today's game. Matt Stajan should take note.

Your also comparing goalies in different era's, goalies never really could carry a team in the 80's and early 90's

No kidding. You would think a guy (especially Redden) would be a man and have some pride. If he restructured his contract, he may get back into the NHL with some team. Instead he's content making his millions playing in the AHL. If I were in his shoes, I would much prefer playing in the NHL and not feel like I am stealing money from my employer.

Contracts cannot be restructured in the current CBA.
