I think his going juniors after 9 games and with a taste of nhl, he know what to improve to be more complete and he is more ready next season.

The team has more use for Lander this season and hes looking almost like a vet in his C role, but business and selling ads(1 pick homeboy) , tickets would play a part when they make the decision.
Good grief...

With or without RNH, this building is selling out...selling tickets is not an issue with the lineup. Lander may play over RNH or vise versa....but it wont have anything to do with selling tickets.

I agree with you, once Renney knew Hemsky was done for the night he should have moved Eberle up and filled in accordingly for Smyth and Belanger's line.

I posted that response because CupofOil is adamant that the Hall-RNH-Hemsky line isn't/wasn't working where IMO they have been the best line in the last 2 games and were very unlucky not to have 2 or 3 goals in the first period last night.

Relevant I suppose...

4 - 93 - 14
94 - 10 - 28
91 - 20 - 23
37 - 57 - 16

6 - 58
5 - 77
25 - 44

I imagine 24 and 13 are together as well...?

Agreed!!!
I really want to give the coaching staff more credit then just throwing darts at a board, but I really find it hard to do when stuff like this is happening.

no, no it can't

i was *really* hoping for a healthy season this year, as it would at least allow us to trade him if need be... with him likely gone for another 30-40 game stretch here, his trade value just fell through the floor (and lets be honest, it was already pretty low)

Yeah, it was pretty low anyways since he would be a rental. You never get good value for the skill you trade away when its a rental deal.

83 must be a reclamation project now as far as other teams are concerned. The Oilers waited a year too long to try to get value for this asset. He has little value now as far as trades go.

He should be able to find a taker next summer in that 3-3.5 range if he can find a club willing to take the chance on him.

You misunderstood my post. I didn't say that the line wasn't working, i was saying that Hemsky going down wasn't the only reason that the line suffered.
It also had to do with Renney's inability to recognize that a checking RW wasn't going to work with Hall and RNH.

Why so upset? do you really not understand what i meant? You selling a team, last year they made adverts of mps hall ebs long before tc,the hype of a 1 draftpick canadian c is more attractive for selling the team, much more intrest in media, commercial contracts then lander from sweden.

The MRI on Hemmer's shoulder is precautionary apparently.

I get the feeling that some on here would prefer that this player have another torn Labrum just to say "See, I told you so!" and finally get their wish of seeing Eberle with Hall & RNH. Sad really.

They should sit him until he's ready. We play 5 games in 8 nights coming up. Thats a lot of hockey for someone who's not 100%.

Anytime the word "Might or could or maybe" is used with Hemsky the guy should just sit.

It's sad that you think that people hope for injuries to any player.

The unfortunate fact is that many people do.

I remember a guy screaming for Stortini to get injured at the game.

Of course, Stortini WAS injured at the game and the guy was like "Oh I feel kinda stupid now..." but yeah.
