Time to blow up the team

The window was there, we came within a whisker of winning it all, time to move on.

But this is only partly about the on-ice performance. Mostly it's about being excited as a fan.

And We The Fans have gotten into a rut. Just look around you, right here on HF. It's been variations of the same damn three threads for years now...Luongo sucks/rules, Sedins are clutch/sisters, Kesler is over/underrated. Yadda yadda yadda.

Hell, even Hodgson discussions have become a repetitive circle jerk, and he's only just made the team.

It's been the same round-and-round "discussions" for years now and I'm just plain bored of it. Let's move on. Swap the core out for retarded number of first round picks, and let's get some really Strum und Drang back into the daily life of being a Canucks fan.

Perhaps we should just swap out a few fans instead.

Teams that make it to Game 7 of the SCF don't blow themselves up because they're worried about too many similar threads on internet hockey forums.

fire the coach. i'd be fine with a horrible start if it means finally getting rid of AV.

The odds are extremely high that the team will not get back to the finals before the Sedins contract is up.

So what's the point?

No cup, and the same arguments spinning round and round and round, for another 3-4 years. Zzzzzzz...

Let's move on to something more exciting - this team is too familiar, too predictable - it's time for Next Year's Model.

Not sure if serious.

How's the stupidity of fans got anything to do with the team.

I have an idea. GTFO HFboards every day. Don't go to the circus and not expect to see clowns.

Within one game of the cup last year. Changing anything would be very counter productive.

With a handful of games played this year, changing anything now would be very plainly, stupid.

@mrmyheadhurts - your post disappeared - but you do realize that, when it comes down to it, we're both saying the same thing, right?

EDIT: Same with you, LetsBeReality. Remember when the Canucks were in such an unpredictable state that it would be unthinkable to check in at HF to see what the latest was? That ain't happening anymore - the team has become predictable and familiar - it's gotten same-old, same-old.

Which NHL teams to you feel will make it to the finals during the current Sedin contracts, and should all teams that you don't list blow up their teams as well, as there's little point in trying?

I AM down for this one though. AV isn't a bad coach, but ****, he's not improving on some glaring errors.

Perhaps you should follow the New York Islanders.

i'll assume most of you are at or under 20 years old because its amazing how much you guys can whine during the by far most successful era of this team.
4 games into october you want to blow up what last season was one of the most dominant regular season teams of the modern era because, why? you're bored? ok. go to a different website, fire up the xbox, call a friend. Mike Gillis isn't going to shake up this team because you're bored and they haven't won a cup this october.
i can't imagine how many of you would be dead by our own depressed hand if hf was around during the first 30 years of this team.
we have a good damn hockey team, enjoy it.

MG isn't dismantling the team so that your HF experience is more interesting.
