This will be an interesting matchup. In some ways its a tale of opposites. Columbus has played pretty good in their first 4 games but hasn't been good enough to win. Meanwhile we've been playing pretty horrible in our first 4 and somehow managed to win 3 of them.
Columbus usually gives us fits and Mason tends to do well against us. I expect a gritty, physical, low scoring game. Stars win 2-1 in OT/SO.
Also Mark mentioned that Bob Sturm from the Ticket will be doing Color commentary along side him tonight, as Razor is doing HNIC.
Ahh it's going to be brutal listening to that. Don't get me wrong, I really like sturm, it's just going to be really weird hearing a game without razor
Yeah the schedule has not been kind for the Stars. Lots of college football people will be watching too. I've got this set to tivo because I'll be at the House of Blues for a show.
Lots of info in the first post but I didn't see an actual line-up:
For the CBJ
Prospal - Carter - Nash (practically the only source of offense at this point and Carter appears to be over the flu he had earlier in the week)
Umberger - Vermette - and probably Giroux (the completely offensively useless line with the rotating right winger)
Mayorov - Pahlsson - Dorsett (this would be the "shut down" line - they've been doing OK)
Calvert - Johansen/MacKenzie - Brassard?/MacKenzie (Atkinson was RW last game - this was our version of the Smurf line - although offensively skilled and not horrible defensively, this line has been getting benched a lot - fans don't think the benching has been justified)
Each of the above are on the correct side, but the combos haven't really been firmly established at this point.
Mason is supposed to be in net.
I saw you complaining about your PP - don't worry, ours is worse (0 for 20). Our PK also sucks at the moment. The only thing they seem to be doing fairly well on is face-offs (as long as we aren't playing Vancouver).
Dallas needs to stop letting up 30+ shots, because kari is going to get tired real soon and that's not good for Dallas's chances of making the playoffs. Anyways LETSS GOOOOOO STARS
big Habs fan here, passing through Dallas today and I see there is a game tonight. I love hockey and appreciate anychance I get to see an NHLgame. I looked on stubhub for a ticket but they onlyhavepairs.I'm by myself , so I need a single.
Does anyone know where I can geta ticket? Ideally I'd like to pay $25 for 300 level or double that for 200 level.
Coming to the game tonight, looking forward to the AAC experience.
I love your goal horn. I just hope to not hear it in person.
The Jackets' play has improved over each of the last two games after an abysmal performance in Minny and you could argue that the last two (VAN, COL) were winnable, though they're still quite capable of failing to capitalize on goalies being down/empty nets and scoring more than two goals (funny seeing as they need 3 for #2000 all time). The defense is still iffy, too.

Anyone got a spare ticket for sale?
I bought a single ticket on Ticketmaster this morning. There are plenty available.

I'll check ticketmaster, thx.
Do you want to hang out, we cancheer for the Jackets together, I live in Indy and the CBJ are my closest arena and I planned on attending a game this year with the Wiz signing and Carteracquisitiin and my buddy said watchingNash live, he is a beast.
Should be a good matchup, as it usually is against the BJ's. We will need to play a FULL 60 minutes tonight but I think we will continue our home ice winning ways tonight. Go Stars
I read the metro guide thread but I need some last minute parking advice. I am driving a 30' box truck (think big uhaul), I am13' tall so I can't park in garages, where should I park?
This is a decent indicator that Pardy is viewed as a regular even before he's done anything. It didn't really matter how Fistric played.
It'll be interesting to see if we get another game of the terrible Grossman-Daley pairing of if sanity will be restored with Grossman-Robidas.
It might be just to see how Pardy does in a game before Gully makes a solid decision on who plays over who and who will eventually get shipped out... because someone is definitely getting traded if Fistric's play keeps up.
