I think Periferal has the answer - the guy is inept, stubborn and naive thinking he's going to get his way no matter what. Well, his stubbornness is always his downfall - and ours.

When reality hits, he will have done nothing and will be forced to chip in and renovate as this is the only thing Charles B.Wang can afford to do himself. (NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE will partner with him and he won't sell)

I guess you have forgotten that Wang has revealed his options regarding a new arena in the last 2 Mays AFTER the Isles seasons were finished
