Outscore them at even strength and put 5 defensemen out on the powerplay and we should be fine.

I'm thinking... put Miller on the point, Regher in net. It'll throw 'em.

Big bounceback game here. We'll take this one 4-2.

I'm ready for this one already after reading this:

"Buffalo is not a big city.

It's not particularly vibrant, or thriving.

But it is, for purposes of the NHL, as much of a big-market team as anything to be found in New York or Toronto or Philadelphia or Chicago."

Read more: http://www.postgazette.com/pg/11288/...#ixzz1arFs0J8E

Pretty gentle slam by Buffalo standards, but where does this writer get off? Would he say the same about his own town, whose population was 676,000 in 1950 and is now at 261,000 and dropping?

Doubt it.

Really vibrant, the Burgh.

I hate that city.

Not sure how the team will play after last night's abortion. Less risky point-play, please.

I hope Vanek is so pissed at himself after last nights game that he gets a redemption hatty.

I don't have a good feeling about this one. However I had a good feeling about last nights game, so my gut is off. My guess is 3-2 either way.

Ehrhoff
Leino

Malkin
Letang

the 3rd goal for either team is a toss up.

I didn't think the article was a slam at all, other than the first two lines but beyond that I thought it was fine.

I've got a good feeling about tonight, not sure why. 3-2 BUF in OT. Ennis, Hoff, Vanek (OT)

Such a terrible game last night. Still pissed. That final penalty was terrible. The corner is so chipped up and people were falling all night. The dude lost an edge. Vanek didn't even trip him.

This game will test this teams ability to bounce back and play better after a loss. With new faces, new coaches, new mindset, this will be a telling game.

Time for a shutout

3-0 Sabres

Myers, Gerbe, or Adam get a goal

Hoping I can actually watch this one all the way through!

Buffalo bounces back, 3-2. Back to basics.

With people ready to dive off the wagon tonight, I expect a win to bring people back on board.

but if they don't give up a shorty I'd be more than happy with whatever outcome there is.

Malkin out according to Mike Harrington. Surprising considering he just played the other day but must have re-aggravated it. Apologies Doak for correcting you in the GBU when I said he was playing tonight.

I'm really hoping this team can show up for a 2nd of back to backs but I'm not holding my breathe.

I fully expect to be disappointed.

Gonna be writing another 20 page essay during this one.... My 15 pager last night didn't seem to help in the luck department, so maybe the extra 5 pages will put the Sabres over the top?

Wasn't bad at all... but you do have to tip your hat to Pittsburgh for being the vibrant and thriving bathtub Whiskey town that it is.
