Did he even touch it ? Not trying to take anything away from him at all, it's just that I've always wondered. It takes a bounce off the ice as it hits the crease but it was a knuckler from Zubov in the first place. Honeslty I watch it and I cant tell. It seems entirely possible that it was Zubov's goal. Thoughts ?
Whole vid is worth watching, but skip to ~12:47 for the goal.
I remember Ralph talking about it a couple years ago, maybe it was during the 10th anniversary season? perhaps it was year 15...I dunno, but he was talking about himself being extremely sick during that game and could barely talk at all that day because of it. Of course, he decides to call the game and we go on to have the longest game in our history up to that date.

Originally I was gonna fast forward but once I started watching I couldnt stop. Great video. I remember watching the game with my sister. You have no idea the relief and satisfaction when you live half an hour out of edmonton and your team puts them away.

It totally could have and if anything thats what it was, but man I keep watching it and its so hard to tell. Still to me looks like it goes right by Joe and bounces off the ice. Maybe I'll have to ask him when the boys are in town in March.
I miss those days.. Really a perfect team when you think of it.
Yup. Knew it wouldnt last forever but it's sad how it seems like all of a sudden there's nobody left, unless you want to count Morrow from that 2000 team. Time flies.
