He's the 5th Hobey winner for UMD, most in the NCAA.

I would have thought the Wild may have interest, if only for Houston. Of course that would have to be over the summer when they have the contract space.
Seems a bit silly to me that no NHL team wanted to give him a chance. Even if he'd likely not amount to much in the NHL, it's not like you accidentally fall into those sort of point totals.

I think he had a bit of interest from the NHL (mostly in the AHL) but preferred heading over to Europe.

Really. Hm. Wonder if he's one of those lower key guys like Daigle then who prefer less travel and pressure?

Here's a story that appeared today on the Fargo Forum's website about a Moorhead girl who was unable to play for the Gopher Women's Hockey team this year because of career ending concussions:

Who starts in goal for the gophers next year? Shibrowski is the only returning goalie... Wilcox looks like a legit prospect coming up, (Lightning's 14th ranked prospect) but he'll be a true freshman.

That'd be sweet. Especially if he could put up some Alex Kangas Freshman numbers, except to actually be able to perform after that.

Don't know, Colorado has a couple good goalies in their system along with Kieran Millan (BU's goalie) graduating too.
As for who starts for the U, I'd expect Shibrowski and Wilcox to split games to start the year.
