He and Michaelson were really fun to watch for Apple Valley. Fasching is probably about as talented as any Minnesota forward to come out in a long while. Would really like to see the Wild draft him but ya, if they're in a position to draft him they likely have issues.

Heh, let's be honest though. Fasching is a likely top 10 pick in '13. Possible top 5. He's not going to be in school long. Looking at a one and done type of guy in my opinion. And that's depending on who drafts him.
Fasching is good, but it's too far out to say that. Watch half the the "top ten" guys for this year's draft fall out of the top ten or first round.

I haven't seen any 2013s play, but right now Fasching is being looked at as a late 1st in the bits I've seen here on HF. Offhand I can reference the "ProScout" ranking slotting him in at 25. When this far out, the rankings tend to be very CHL biased though so he could easily move up.

Give it a year for that USNDT hype to kick in. He'll be there.
interesting article, nbc sports network which is what vs will become is going to broadcast live college hockey games, here is the link with the schedule
tonights game is going to be fun to watch as well. Gophers are looking damn good this year. buying my tix this morning for 12/10 against Michigan Tech. Little B-day gift to myself, lol.
Ya, missed the game. By all accounts the Gophs looked good and Dell even played a strong game for once. Granted the Sioux seem to be a bit down this year due to a lot of player movement, but it's getting to the point where the Gophs may just in fact be legit.
The thing that really bothers me about college hockey...kids going to UMD or Mankato State or St Cloud State, why the hell are they Gophers fans?
All over Facebook, guys going to those three schools, bragging about the gophers. I don't understand.
/bitter Sioux fan
Well I can't speak for everyone, but I'm a UMD student who is also a gopher fan, and its because I grew up in the city, and watched a ton of Gopher games, both my parents are UoM alumni, so theres a familial connection there as well. I of course want UMD to do better than the Gophers, but I'm not a fan of the Gophers sucking, not just because I grew up with them (I grew up without an NHL team so the Gophs were my main team really), but because the UoM pretty much represents Minnesota in the college world, and if their hockey team does poorly it doesn't reflect well on the rest of the state, sure UMD won the title, but no one outside MN and the surrounding states knows where Duluth is, nor do they care.
