This is a new level of suck, even for the Jackets. I've never seen a team lose 5 straight games in the exact same ****ing way. Failure to tie up guys in front of the net/intercept cross-crease passes. Complete power play outage. Complete lack of secondary scoring. I've played NHL 12 games against simmed teams that have shown more of an ability to adjust then this team has. And that falls 100% on Arniel.

You may disagree with my belief that this is a playoff calibur team, but I don't see how anybody can disagree with my belief that this team isn't as bad as what we've seen to this point. Something's gotta give.
I'm not a Howson fan, but this roster IS capable of making the playoffs. Obviously, not the way they're performing right now.

I'm not ready to jump on this train quite yet. I want to see what happens with the home & home against the Wings next week.

If I'm Arniel, I take away the "Kick Ass" song that these guys enter the ice too until they "Earn It."

But I do understand everyone's frustration level.

Y'all are barking up the wrong tree. We've got players that need to go.

No point calling for anything and complaining more. Either we starting winning and he (they) keep their job(s) or they don't.

Either way I have a great seat for half of the future home games with an excellent view of the Kia girls.. I'm set.

Howson was a mistake but the current losing is not his fault, as long as he's not the one telling Arniel who to play that is, the current losing lies squarly on Arniel. There is no way a coach starts a goalie that can't win after 4 games a 5th time.

By the way, Florida beat Tampa (yep-Boucher) tonight and is 2-1 on the season, looks as though Dineen is doing better in 3 games than Arniel is in 5.

You may have hit the nail on the head! If they won't compete, the only thing mgtment can do is shake up the room, meaning trades are on the way. It is waaay too early to give up. I think we may be seeing some trades.

But wait, on second thought, this is Howson we are talking about, Mr. Patience. Who Knows????

We have a cancer in the room. It's a veteran.

You know the motto, you can't fire the players. We've got more than enough of good players to compete. However, they aren't competing... Cores locked up... It is what it is.

You most certainly CAN fire the players. We've done it. Ask Commodore.

I really wonder, how long can Arniel hang on?

I honestly don't know the root of the "Columbus problem." What I know is a different roster didn't compete for Gallant. It did compete for Hitch his first 2/3 season. It competed for Hitch the next year up until either the All Star game or the trade deadline. The roster was turned over, new players put in place and they competed. Then that new roster quit on him. Did it ever compete for Arniel? I don't really think so. At best it competed for 20 games.

Now we have turned the roster again and...say they quit, say they never started whatever you say this roster once again is not competing.

It may be Arniel, it may be Howson, it may be the team's leadership. Like I said above, it may be the ownership.

How long can Arniel hang on like this?

LOL!!

Well if they would quit buying our players out of Hockey Dudes or Us summer catalog we wouldn't have this problem.

Why can't we get rid of them?? It's not like we don't have a bumper crop in the AHL, who apparently we call up for scoring, according to Dumb and Dumber in the post show. Do you think Torts or Sather has this problem??? Hell no they don't because they play hardball. WE, in contrast, are chasing Waldo.

The one thing that ticks me off most about Arniel is that he seems incapable of adjusting mid-game. He always says how something didnt happen the right way at the presser, today (and the rest of the year so far, for that matter) it was effort. He needs to ****ing drill it into these guy's heads DURING the game that they arent competing, but nope. He waits until after the game to address the problem, at a time which the players dont give a ****. He plain and simple doesnt adjust during games, and seems incapable of motivating the team.

They aren't honouring the land on which the arena was built and the team was founded.
