Turris + a 2nd for Scheidner is how I'd do such a pick.

No. An e4 just means that there is a good chance Eklund will have to explain his failure away by describing what he believes his e5 system means at this point in time.

e5 is the only one that means something as it is supposedly a done deal. Unless it isn't a done deal necessitating a great deal of back peddling.

id take him in a Filatov-type of deal
but frankly, if his contract demands are real, he might not even be worth that much

Getting Turris would be a brilliant move on the Canucks part. While they have a great team now, they have a thin prospect pool. They need to concern themselves with the future, and getting Turris is a great first step in solidifying the franchise as one which will be competitive for not just the next few years, but the next decade.

Turris has not done much, but he was drafted where he was for a reason. Kid is incredibly talented. Could really pay dividends for the Canucks. I would happily trade Schneider for Turris + late pick.

I'm sure Eklund does make nearly everything up, but rumours in general are never going to get higher than 10% accuracy. And even that is generous. If a trade happened every time teams talked or scouted a player, there would probably be a 90% turnover of players every two years or so.

Yet there's a growing trend of clubs and players having to publicly deny these kinds of half assed, made up on the spot, rumors.

At this point the only reasonable explanation is his Parents are meddling in their little baby's career to put him in what they believe to be the best situation. It must be really hard to see their little boy have to work his way to achieve his potential. Like Hanzal, Yandle, and Korpikoski did; and, ELO, and Boedker are doing.

It's pretty obvious his agent isn't looking out for his client's best interest (oddly while his agent screws himself over at the same time). It would be easy to fire his agent, but what's next...fire your parents?

If lil' Kyle wasn't such a momma's boy he could probably break from the womb, but that's not happening is it. She says he doesn't care about money, but just loves to play the game. Hey Kyle, actions speak louder than words, no one's buying it. And make sure to treat people like you want to be treated....I guess he wants to be treated like an ingrate.

It's funny how this forum disagrees with a lot of things yet almost unanimously agrees that Eklund makes up rumours. lol.
