All these injuries will only make us stronger in the end, remember when we won the cup, Sid was out for a while and then Geno went into God-mode and our depth players started to play awesome and then when Sid came back, it was just an overkill. It could be same situation

Without Sid/Geno, I'd put TK right up there with Kunitz, Sullivan and Neal as our go-to scorers.

Along with Neal, he makes the most impact in that scenario when not scoring.

Out of the 267 posts you have - are any of them positive?

The sad thing is that knowing our current luck, that's probably accurate.

On a side note from all the Injuries talk, I'm excited to watch a game in Winnipeg building, i i didn't get to catch their home opener against the Canadians. It's gonna feel like a playoff game i bet with the crowd going nuts.

Sounds logical, but is this official?

Is his opinion official?

If you mean the MacIntyre thing, then yeah that's official...

From Bylsma

On who will take Kennedy’s spot in the lineup:
Steve Macintyre will be going in the lineup. We’ll have to rearrange our lines a little bit.

I think they'd trade Letestu before considering waiving Park. Park's not ideal, but this is the sort of situation he's custom-made for.

Letestu, on the other hand, is less versatile and playing poorly. This is his time to shine, so he'd better grab ahold of the reins and do something.

The long flight notwithstanding, at least we play Winnipeg. They've been completely awful so far this year.

I think I'd rather have Staal center Sullivan and Neal at this point over Park, and let Letestu try his hand with Dupuis and Kunitz since Kennedy is out now.

Here's what I'd do*:

Sullivan - Letestu - Neal
Kunitz - Staal - Dupuis
Cooke - Vitale - Park
Asham - Adams - MacIntyre.

Park can play the wing, and I'd rather keep Staal and Kunitz together.

*I am not a coach, by any means.

I'd keep Letestu in the bottom six playing with strictly grinder players and facing lesser opposition.

Let Vitale/Park use their speed and forechecking ability with Sully and Neal. Keep Kunitz with Staal.

I don't know... we already know Letestu just doesn't fit on that top line with Neal, so I wouldn't go back to that again.

As opposed to some people I actually think Staal played decent with Neal last season. He just never finished anything (because that's always his issue), but they created a bit together. With Kennedy out, I'd just "load up" (I use that term loosely now) with Staal and Neal.

Sullivan - Staal - Neal
Kunitz - Letestu - Dupuis
Cooke - Vitale - Park
MacIntyre - Adams - Asham

That's a possibility too. I'll freely admit that those lines would probably work just as well as mine, if not better.

I would just hate to see Letestu put on the 4th line. Now is the time to figure out if he has any scoring upside, while we're playing weak teams.

It'd also be a good way to pump his trade value up, if the team sees Jeffery and Crosby returning soon. Besides, with Sullivan, at least Letestu has someone who sees the game as well as he does.

Dear God I hope that's the case. Those two can't get back in the lineup soon enough.

That second line is a step down, but that first line looks quite decent on paper.

Man, I never thought we'd be decimated so soon.

I don't see what makes Jeffrey a sure thing right now, He looked good for us last year but a serious injury like his, he could come back and play worse than Letestu.

Yeah... either way you cut it the 2nd line isn't going to look good. Whatever I guess. It's just getting so hard to care with all of these injuries. I'll still watch the games, but it's always in the back of my head that this team can look soooooo much better.

Well, Jeffery is a better option on paper to fill in for someone like Kennedy than, say Letestu, since he can play wing as well.

Letestu's pretty much just a centre, so you have to switch on of our other centres to the wing, in order to put him in the lineup.
