I went to a Kelowna Rockets exhibition game this season all excited to see Sundher (As he was the only drafted player in their lineup), he looked really good for about 3-4 shifts and then he took a 5 minute major early on, then got into a fight and kicked out before the end of the first, so that was the end of that.
Speculation is that Zack Phillips has signed with Minnesota. Yesterday he tweeted about it, then deleted said tweet, speculation is he probably has signed but the contract has yet to be filed, hence the deleted tweet.
Wild prospect Zack Phillips got his hand slapped and a lesson in social media from the Wild minutes after signing his first NHL contract Saturday.
From his Twitter account, "zachphillips7," the 2011 first-round pick tweeted, "just signed my first NHL contract! #minnesotawild."
He deleted the tweet in 20 minutes -- long after word spread quickly. Problem was the Wild hadn't received the signed contract back yet, filed it with the league or announced it.
Nevertheless, Phillips has agreed to his three-year, entry-level deal that begins once he turns pro. He will continue playing in Saint John, where he ranks sixth in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with 52 points in 31 games. The contract will be filed Monday.
Added Michael Bournival and Zack Phillips whom I'd neglected to get to during the early Holidays, and Dougie Hamilton and Kevan Miller whom I inexplicably missed. I also added Cap Hits, contract lengths, and 1-way/2-way status (The latter of which is pretty moot until college signings occur). How does it look? Is it too cluttered? Or is this info unnecessary and unwanted? Or is it all right?
RDS says Phillip Danault signed with Chicago, as well. Danault was a 1st round choice of the Blackhawks in 2011, 26th overall, and is currently playing for Victoriaville of the QMJHL.
Blackhawks also signed Mark McNeill, their 2011 first round pick (18th overall).
thats great. i hope he does well. wanted the Rangers to draft him but very happy with JT Miller.. funny that all it took was Brendan Bell to get McNeill to the NYR in NHL 12

This is good info to know.Necessary if speculating on what moves a team might make.As far as clutter goes, there's a lot worse sites out there and your's is easy to read and understand.Got no problem with it at all !!Well done, keep up the good work.I can only speak for myself here, but I like it and I'd hazard a guess I'm not the only one who feels that way.
per Tim Sassone, Blackhawks also sign C Andrew Shaw. Shaw, 20, has 12 goals and 20 points in 32 games with Rockford of the AHL this season. He was a 5th round pick, 139th overall, in 2011 by Chicago. Sassone seems to believe he could be brought in to replace Dan Carcillo who injured himself boarding Tom Gilbert last night.
The guy went from being undrafted in his draft year, to an unexpected late pick last year, to one of the top scorers for Chicago's AHL affiliate at only 20 years old.
But the Minnesota Wild can continue to lock up its current prospects, and today, the club did that with another highly touted prospect. The Wild signed 2010 first round pick Charlie Coyle to a three-year, entry level contract on Thursday.
Coyle, 19 (turns 20 tomorrow), was a first round pick, 28th overall, of the San Jose Sharks in 2010. He was a part of the Brent Burns trade last June when he became a member of the Minnesota Wild. He is currently playing with Saint John of the QMJHL.

He's not just a part of the Burns trade, he was the biggest part going to Minnesota IMO. It's a trade that will be mentioned for a long time. Hope it works out for both sides, cuz Burns has been great for us.
When is Granlund supposed to be signed? I read somewhere that it would happen after the WC's?
It was actually mentioned in the above article about Coyle signing that Minnesota would have to wait until after the WCs to sign Gralund and that they would likely be talking contract with Jason Zucker after his college season is done.
Tampa Bay has signed Cory Conacher to a 2-year, 2-way contract today. Conacher, 22, has 30 goals and 64 points in 57 games with Norfolk of the AHL. Conacher was never drafted.
