He outscored Grigorenko last year. If Grigo really is 20, the Sabres must think this kid has huge NHL potential.

He did a great job at the Sabres dev camp last week. He will be a fine addition for AHL depth.

Nice no riski signing, this kid really impressed in development camp. Might be a longshot to make the NHL, but I'll be pulling for him

So it sounds like it's not an NHL contract?

man I am very sorry, I was just fooling around. I can understand as a Sabres fan why you'd assume I'm being serious, you must get it a lot. I think Grigo will be great.

Sabres sure like their small players.

Why are all these great players' sons so small?

This guy, and the whole freaking Bourque family.

Rene Bourque has no relation to Ray Bourque.

I like the signing just based on his name, but sometimes they aren't as good as their fathers, uncles, etc.

deux volets = two-way, i think.

should be a standard ELC.

No, it's just a two-way minor league deal (aka he'll get paid at different levels depending on if he's in the AHL or ECHL).

The initial tweet fooled me too.
"two-way contract with the Buffalo Sabres" implies an ELC, but that's apparently not the case.

Next up, they'll sign Gimli, son of Gloin.

He's small, but he's built like a tank.

ah... ahl two-way. Makes sense i guess.

do the sabres own the amerks? I was under the impression that ahl two-ways have to be paid by the AHL team.
