yeah, I figured that part...just didn't know if he meant that with Markov back in Montreal at the end of the week, if he meant he was cleared to begin practicing with teamates or not.

Extent of Pacioretty's injury won't be known til Tues. MTL calls it upper body. I am hearing arm or perhaps wrist. Tough time for Habs.

Unconfirmed report has #Habs Pacioretty injury his wrist. Might be fractured. Again, that's unconfirmed

Damn.

That'd be a bad news if true.

This thread is to discuss about our injured players, not Scott Gomez or Jacques Martin.

Back on topic please

Brian Wilde, I think it was, on twitter said that he heard the injury is pretty serious...Likely a broken wrist, which is 6 weeks at least.

From earlier I've been told that there is FEAR of ligament damage in Paciorettys wrist but that won't be determined until later today. #Habs

No, you can tear or sprain ligaments with trauma.

This team is absolutely cursed. Maybe instead of a coach we need an exorcist

I come in peace.

I hope it isn't that bad with Patches. I was really looking forward to seeing him Thursday.

I actually believe it wouldn't hurt. Notre Dame was famous for doing this to change their luck.. a little divine intervention to clear the air.

Let's wait for final word on Patches. Might not be anything major.

Regarding Pacioretty, the latest news is from MAG:

Quote:
MAGodin Marc Antoine Godin
Max Pacioretty subit des tests plus approfondis pour évaluer l'étendue de sa blessure au bras gauche (poignet?). Plus de détails à venir.
(Pacioretty undergoing tests to evaluate the extent of the injury to his left arm (wrist?). More details to come.)

I heard reports that Markov may be out until at least December. Useless signing. Any player is better than an injured player and at his price, definitely not worth it. Our powerplay is suffering. It shows we're missing Wisniewski.

Who cares how long he's out for...as long as he's back healthy and helps this team

Man... From those reports it doesn't sound good for Pacioretty. Poor guy should be recognized as one of the better young players in the league but he keeps getting hurt.

You do realize by the end of this week, we could end up with a 1 win October right? We're missing Markov, and badly, and could very well be too late by the time he comes back...

Markov, as good as he is, will not suddenly turn things around by himself. The team should not be counting on him to be the savior...No player is that good by himself.

If the team only manages 1 win in October then we are doomed and would have been doomed with Markov in the lineup. A record like that shows fundamental problems with the team...Deep problems that no one player can fix.

But he's not healthy enough to play right now...what difference does it make? He'll play when he's 100% ready to play, not a second before. I don't know why people keep racking their brains about Markov being out, management didn't sign him to play the 1st 10 game segment of the season, they signed him with the hope he'd be able to play the majority of his contract and until we get proof that he won't, it's a waste of time of whining about it (not speaking about you specifically here).
