Bauer P106 v P92 v P07

So tonight I broke my Total One p92 blade. I am looking for a little more heel curve without sacrificing much lie and from what I can tell, the P106 seems to be the next option. It seems to be a mix between to the P92 and the P07 (Lidstrom clone).

Am I correct in this assumption?

I haven't used one in forever, but the lie and loft will be a little off, as will the rocker. That would be my choice if I wanted a little less loft and a little more heel though.

I recently changed from the P88 (Kane) to the P106. I've been very pleased with the P106 and it only took a couple of shifts before I felt completely comfortable with the new curve.

Compared to the P92 the P106 has a pretty different profile (more rocker in general, with the "hump" more towards the heel), is less open, and the blade plays shorter (it's a bit shorter in general, but feels significantly smaller because of how rockered it is). As you said, the curve starts more toward the heel as well. Hard to say what the lie is on the P106 because of how big/weird the rocker is, but if a P92 is the right lie for you I'm sure the P106 will work as well (both curves work well for me in terms of lie).

In terms of personal taste I really like the shape and openness of the P106, but don't like the blade length/rocker. If the P106 had the profile of a P92 it would be my favourite curve, but as is I prefer Drury and Sakic clones (P91A and P92 in Bauer).

I had a P106, but found the lie to be a bit too upright. I now have a P92 and it feels great.

If that is the case, then I think it will be perfect. I tend to stick handle a lot from the mid heel on the p92 and find I have a better shot when using heel curves. The p91a is a little too much wedge and the PM9 has too low of a lie.

check out this chart for Harrow blades. I bought a P11 and cant wait to get home from my trip and try it. I found P106 to be to strange of a rocker like has been stated, I never liked it. If the P11 from harrow is anything like my old TPS Tucker Id highly recommend it.

I need a standard blade. I'm also looking to stick with Bauer or Warrior to get a nice combination of puck feel and durability.

Can you post some picks when you get that blade in?

just realize that the p106 will feel alot smaller than the p92 blade until you get used to it

I have a P91 that i broke in the heel and super-glued to play with. I actually think I am going to go back to that curve and buy a new blade.
