Totally.

Kane-Burmistrov-Yakupov

the pens have a thing for allowing a lot of "firsts" to other teams/players. i'm sure scheifele will score his first NHL goal and penguin killer nik antropov will score 2 and the jets will probably get their first win 3-1.

pens fan btw.

Open letter time!

Dear Winnipeg Jets,

I'm not expecting you to win tonight. I mean, it'd be nice, but I won't get my hopes up. But if you can just play with some effort, some passion, common sense. Do things like checking, it's a little known thing that hockey players sometimes do. That'd be cool, too.

Just play like you give a damn. Even if you lose, if you play with fire and passion, it'll be okay. Just don't play like you're in a beer league.

All the best,

AP

P.S. If you can have one of our players knock Cooke into another dimension I'd appreciate it.

Can I sign your letter before you send it?

I know people will jump on me for this but I was kind of hoping with Kane being out tonight they might have moved Buff to forward and dressed Meech or Jones. Then the'd have the excuse to say, 'hey it was for one game while Kane was out' if it didn't work...but if it did...

I think the effort and passion is there. I think they are just playing tight and confused.

That's a good choice if the team is still winless after playing Ottawa later this week.

My secretary is working on it at the moment.

With regards to my Cooke comment, I don't want to see him concussed, because as much as I loathe him I'd wish that on nobody. However, I would not shed a tear if someone Evander Kane'd him. That is all.

This is dumb but even though I'm not expecting a win I have good feelings about this game. Perhaps it's hope, or perhaps it's pain medication. Only time will tell!

Future top 4 ,maybe top 5 . Scheifele certain to be a top 2 centerman and Wheeler is iffy as the 2nd RW , imo.

Oh that will be really cool! Have fun! I'm hoping to take my nephews to their first hockey game. They live in Mobile, Alabama and I'm taking them over to see the Pensacola Ice Flyers (SPHL). I'm excited to share the game with them.

I'm gunna say it, I feel really good about this one. All of this talk about this team "getting back to the basics" is exactly what they need to do, and I feel if this team does that, they're chances of success increase dramatically. The Pens in my opinion are the most well coached teams in the league, they work hard, they play to their system and they're physical. We'll have our hands full even without Crosby and Malkin in the lineup, I think that's a guarantee. But I believe if this team just keeps it simple, things will click for them in a positive light.

I honestly believe if they can embrace the whole "basics" thing, come out and feel good, look good, score first (maybe... it'd sure be nice for the confidence), we'll see a different team than we did games 1-3.

I still think this team can be a playoff team, i'm not afraid to say that. I can only hope the first 3 games are a serious lesson learnt by this group and from this game to game 82, we look like a damn hockey team.

Not so sure Wheeler will be a top 9 in a year or two

Once Fehr returns he should replace Wheeler

Ladd-Little-Fehr!

I WAS being funny, but in all seriousness, this team DOES have to win one day. They spanked us last season, but the season before we shut them out during our last game.

I'll be truthfull, I'm hoping for a 1 - 0 win either way because I have both goalies on my fantasy team :p

Lets just hope the Jets have a good effort, score more than two goals, stay injury free and do NOT incur a beating at the hands of ARRON ASHAM!

Kennedy is now out also. If we can't beat this team without Crosby, Malkin, Kennedy, Orpik.

We have the stronger forward group tonight looking at the Pens weak lineup up front tonight. Although they got solid d, and goaltending. Not to mention one of the hardest working, well coached teams in the league.

Need a win. And a breakout night for our top line!

Let's see if Noel knows how to motivate his team. All real Jets fans (who will support the team, wins or not) get in here. Let's do it!

Also, Evander... please knock out Matt Cooke.
